We go through many quality checks through the manufacturing process to ensure the best most effective toothpaste. There are different kinds of whitening when it comes to oral care products. Most toothpaste and rinse products work to remove the stains on the surface of the teeth, or extrinsic stains. However, stains can also get trapped below the enamel surface. These are called intrinsic stains. The peroxide in our Crest Whitestrips products travels thru enamel to bleach these stains. The result is a more dramatic color change of the tooth than you would expect to get from using a whitening toothpaste or rinse. Tube full of air
Product is fine but the tube seems to be full of more air and less product these last few months. Switching brands because this seems intentional.

Thank you for leaving your review, and we’re sorry to hear your Crest Plus Whitening Scope Outlast Toothpaste arrived with some air in the tube. The main reason for the air pockets is that the paste is filled into the tube via the open crimped end, which needs to be sealed afterwards. This ensures the toothpaste doesn’t come in contact with the crimp during the sealing process. There is no air pressed into the product intentionally. When you squeeze the product out of the tube, the air is mixed into the product, forming air pockets. To help with this, you can squeeze the tube a few times with the lid on to get the paste up to the top of the tube.
