Q: Why does the warm setting continue at full boil forever, either causing the food to turn to mush or burning it? I purchased 2 of these crock pots recently and both continue to boil forever? Thanks!!!

submitted by Chris from Moreno Valley - 7 years ago
  • A: We had the same problem, wrote the company they didn't help, returned it for the last time and purchased another brand. It's a terrible crockpot.

Q: Can I put the ceramic pot in over

submitted by Maureen - 6 years ago
  • A: Yes, I have used mine in the oven to reheat, but like the the post above says, I place it in oven cold and let it warm up as the oven warms up. I usually only reheat at 350* to avoid drying out the ingredients. This is a great basic slow cooker !

submitted bykatdan - 6 years ago
  • A: Yes, the removable Crock-Pot® stoneware (not lid) is oven safe up to 400° F. When using the stoneware in your oven, do not preheat the oven. Place the stoneware in a cold oven and then turn the oven on. The stoneware cannot be used in the broiler. Thanks and have a great day.

Q: How is this programmable? A recipe is supposed to be cooked on low for 4 hours, and there's no way to set this, unless I missed it in the manual? Thanks.

submitted by AshleyMP - 6 years ago
  • A: Once you turn on select the low cycle, then press select to scroll through to the 4 hrs.

submitted byrop - 6 years ago
  • A: The programmable function, refers to the 4 digital preset cooking modes and the automatic switch to warm function. For short cooking time recipes that call for 4 hours on low, you would have to stop the cooking process yourself after the 4 hours. We apologize for the inconvenience. Thank you for providing your feedback.

Q: can you do a pot roast

submitted by evelyn - 6 years ago
  • A: Yes, I have done a pot roast in this crock pot.

submitted byBri - 6 years ago
  • A: Yes, you can make delicious pot roast with this Crock-Pot® Programmable 6 Qt. Slow Cooker. Thank you for your question. Below is a recipe from our website. Melt In Your Mouth Roast & Gravy Ingredients 3 to 5 pound Chuck Roast 1 (10 Ounce) can of Cream of Mushroom 1 Packet of Onion Soup Mix 1 Medium onion -chopped 2 medium carrots-chopped (optional) 2 Tablespoons All-Purpose Flour Drizzle of Olive Oil Print Shopping List Instructions Lightly coat roast with flour and drizzle oil in a large skillet or non-stick pan over med-high heat. Place flour-coated roast in pan and sear meat on all sides, ( approximately 2 to 3 minutes on each side) then remove from heat. This step is optional but color on the meat equals flavor. In a medium bowl, mix the can of cream of mushroom and the packet of onion soup till well blended. Toss in the chopped onion and carrots into your Crock-Pot®, then place the roast on top of the vegetables. Finally, with a rubber spatula, spread the soup mix evenly over the roast. Cook on Low for 8 hours. The juice of the roast will blend with the soup mix to make its own gravy. Serve over mashed potatoes or cooked rice & Enjoy!

It has a big dent in the corner if the metal. I was sent a replacement and it had a dent in the same area and defects in the ceramic glaze. I don't know how it cooks I left the meat in too long but it was dryer than my old one would be.

On my 3rd one, there are defects in the glaze every time. I have never had this much trouble trying to get a new crockpot. Where is the quality control? It’s very frustrating. Missing glaze, pinholes with exposed ceramic, chips in glaze.

I bought this crockpot about two months ago and I've used it twice. It cooks really hot even on warm. It's always bubbling - even on warm. I don't latch the cover down. I even left the cover off and it still bubbled.

It’s not ideal but if you’re budget minded this will do. It’s NOT programmable so the title is misleading. It has buttons to push & use in basic combinations. Again, budget minded… Lid stays on tight when properly engaged making transport easy & mess free. I own multiple Crockpots in various shapes/sizes & this is my favorite “go to” for simple meals for one. Offers consistent results time after time & stores easily. Cleanup is easy.

I bought this on sale so I did not pay the full price, only paid 35, which honestly is what these things are worth. I bought it due to needing a new one but the quality of the new one is no comparison to my old Hamilton Beach. The handles are plastic and the lock lid is easily breakable. Not a fan that the ceramic insert handles on the longer side rather than the shorter side. Its awkward to pull out of the base and i worry about it slipping and breaking. Overall though it cooked the meals i used it for well and everything was tender, so it served its purpose. I love you can transport it and has a lid that locks.

The worst kitchen product I've ever used

Hoopme - 3 months ago
There is absolutely no temperature regulation. I put 4.5 lbs roast in the crockpot on low and in 3 hours, the internal temperature was 185. A waste of money. I am literally walking it to the dumpster after wasting an entire dinner and all the money on the meal. I've tried this crockpot with a variety of different meals and it consistently has no temperature regulation between low, high and warm. Seriously, don't even consider this crockpot. It is the poorest, most ridiculous excuse for a kitchen product I have ever had the displeasure of using. The lid is also terrible.
