Q: I am having a problem with the pods lately. The coffee grounds come up through the top hole and go all over the top of the kcup. It goes into the coffee sometimes, too. Does anyone have this problem?

  • A: Have had this problem with another Cuisinart model, but it was the pods…some pods rip open at the top when you close the lid. I put a small piece of scotch tape over the tops and it solved the problem.

    Bought this machine for the versatility of pods and carafe. After a few uses the pod feature malfunctioned horribly, pods began to literally explode. Followed troubleshooting guidelines to clean out the pod exit needle, made absolutely no difference. This happened three separate times. The machine is junk. Save yourself the time and clean up, buy another brand.

    Bought this model at beginning of July K cup side wasn't working...returned and bought another one after a few days it started leaking water..returned and bought another one same thing happened started leaking water..going to return will not buy another one of this model....really wished it worked out makes really good coffee on the k cup side and the carafe...also looks great on counter top not big and bulky....

    This is my 3rd Cuisinart and second with the Pod accessory. I haven’t tried the iced coffee feature but love the simplicity of the features, very intuitive. I poured the water in my old one from the other side so that still seems awkward. It brews a great cup of coffee! The pod is always handy for someone that wants decaf or iced.

    We had an older Cuisinart pod and brew coffee center and it finally served its time. We bought this through another third party and received it in two days. This Center is a step up from the previous model. It has a shelf for a shorter cup and a temperature control for the carafe. In addition, one can have the coffee brewed bold. It's sleek and looks good next to our expresso machine.

    I really love the flexibility of this 2 in 1 coffee maker. My husband wakes up earlier than me and can have one cup of coffee using our own pods. When I wake up I put up a pot. The main concern I've always complained about is that the warming plate is not unpainted stainless steel, so no matter how careful I am in wiping up any drips on it, it would always RUST and stop working. I resolved this issue by purchasing an aluminum disk, less than 1/16 inch thick to rest inside the warming plate area. It conducts heat perfectly and when it cools, I lift it out and clean it. The coffee pot slides over it (instead of the rusted plate). But I love the 2 in 1

    It was working fine then the kcup section made loud noises and stopped working with error. I cleaned it the way they said and did everything. It also leaks. I am so disappointed and wasted alot of money

    Great coffeemaker. I had the older model of this machine and thought it about time to upgrade. I find it useful to have the choice of brewing a pot or a single cup. This model is faster than my old one. I could go on about its features but I think the most important thing I can say is that it makes a good and hot cup of coffee.
