Q: How do you know when it's done? Does it beep? Light go off?

  • A: Hello! there is not a timer or indicator when the bundt cakes are done as they can be cooked to your preference (lighter or darker). Most of our recipes suggest 10 minute cook times, you would need to set an external timer for a reminder. We hope this helps! - Dash Team

We have not tested this item for making Flan and considering the type of preparation Flan requires, we wouldn't recommend the Mini Bundt Cake Maker. We have, however, had success in making delicious mini Flan bites with our Egg Bite Maker. Hope this helps!

Used once before this review

It works easy but I need to pour more batter into maker. I was making cornbread. Exactly 10 min was needed to bake. Not enough batter resulted in baked good not being high to show Bundt design. I need more practice.I also have a waffle maker which I love. Easy to make small waffles in very little time.

So I bought the maker in Janulary 15 and the product is already scratched and never used any harsh tools only a fork to get the product off from the "lifter" piece in pan. I just called Dash today 12/5 and the rep said they don't sell just the "lift" part so I would need to buy a whole new maker which is crazy! There abviously don't hold up well and didn't even use it daily. So dissapointed as I don't want to have particles of the non-stick that is chipped come out in my food. I asked the rep if that was safe to use like that and he didn't really have a solution or much to say. I boight a waffle maker which I haven't used yet so I guess I will expect it to turn out the same. Very dissapointed!

Good Idea; Too Labor Intensive

While this is a great little cake maker, it’s just too labor intensive. I gave up after making 6 little cakes. I used a standard cake mix, but heating it up, letting it bake, taking out the cake, letting it cool so you can remove it from the removal tool, then starting all over again, just takes too much time to use all the batter. I was wanting to make the small cakes for a friend who is diabetic and watches the sweets she eats, but I’ll just make her a full sized Kahlua cake and cut it into 12 slices and freeze them individually for her.

I LOVE THIS . i FOUND HEAT YOUR MACHINE FIRST. WHEN IT'S READY ,PUT YOUR BUTTER IN THE WITH YOUR SPREADER. THENPUT YOUR LITTLE BUNDT LIFTTER IN AND BUTTER IT. aNDD YOUR CAKE BATTER ,A LITTLE LESS THAN 3/4 OF A CUP. THEN QUICKLY BUTTER THE TOP AND PUT DOWN. iT TAKES ONLY BETWEEN 6 TO 8 MINUTES . I CHECK WITH A tOOTH PICK TO BE SURE THEY ARE DONE.
