    Purchase this coffee machine approximately 6 months ago. The product seemed to be great at first. Then we noticed it was extremely messy and leaks everywhere. After some time we ran into issues where it just stopped working due to an unknown error. The only way to fix the error is to unplug it and leave it set for some time so it could reset. It has been some time now that the coffee machine won't produce a cup of coffee due to this error even after resetting it. This product is terrible considering the price tag. Do not but this coffee machine.

    Fell Apart After 6 Months – Poor Quality & Worse Customer Service

    I had high hopes for this DeLonghi coffee maker, but after just six months of normal use, it started falling apart. The spout guard fell apart. Totally unacceptable for a brand at this price point. I contacted customer service hoping for a simple fix or replacement. Instead, they told me I’d have to ship the entire machine back so they could repair it — because replacements are only offered within the first 30 days. No flexibility, no accountability. Very disappointing experience from start to finish. I won’t be buying from DeLonghi again.

    We have had this item for maybe 9 months and it is consistently such a mess. It leaks to the underside of the machine (the water holder leaks and it seems like coffee grinds leak out of it too). Everytime I go to slide the tray to clean out the pucks, there is a puddle of brown + grinds all over my countertop. Recently we tried to use the feature for regular grinds (not beans) in the back and it just shoots out muddy/clear water and not actual coffee.

    I wanted to love this coffee maker. It checks all the boxes on paper. But, in real like, it’s LOUD and it takes forever to get warmed up before you can even make your selections and hit brew. I was already considering returning and then the water tank started leaking so that decided it for me.

    Had this coffee maker for 18 months. Only used by me to make 2 cups of coffee per day. I cleaned the machine religiously as suggested. The grinder went. Looked up their 'troubleshooting' manual and attempted to fix. Nope - still wouldn't grind. Tried to contact DeLonghi and they have no record of my registering their product. The suggestion to is PAY to mail it back to them. This is not worth my time and expense. I would expect an expensive coffee maker to last for many years. I suggest you look else where for a well-made product backed by a transaparent and reputable company.

    The worst. This thing leaked and eventually stopped working, and customer service is a joke. They are incredibly rude and argumentative. They don’t care - even if it’s still under warranty - they don’t care. This was a terrible waste of money. I regret buying it so much.

    Bought this for my husband as a semi-spur of the moment Christmas gift. Spent SO long nursing it and trying to get it to work without intervening every.single.time.we.made.a.cup that we gave up - but outside the warranty. Would have to tip the water reservoir every time. Sometimes it would just spontaneously shut off. Sometimes we would push a button for one size but it would give us a larger or smaller size.. the whole thing was incredibly ridiculous. It's home is in the landfill. Terrible waste of money.

    I am a huge iced coffee fan and I’m glad that it has that setting as well. The area where you set your cup is very big which gives you more possibilities to use different size cups. . It has both ground and whole bean slots. I think that’s smart because on days if you want decaf, You can put decaf in the ground coffee slot, or you can put your favorite ground coffee in it. To prevent leakage is to remember to empty BOTH trays in the coffee machine. I was aware of that in the reviews so I kept an eye on it , only time it leaked was when I didn’t empty the excess water tray. I husband loves this machine, says we are never going back to our old machine. The ice coffee feature is chefs kiss as well. My husband thinks it’s amazing , we are happy ^_^

    It’s a nice machine however, the coffee is very strong. I like that it grinds fresh beans. I’ve had it since June and I’m already looking for something different.

    Avoid this design nightmare!!

    This is the worst designed premium product I’ve ever used. Aside from the massive mess that you can see referenced in every other review, it lasted us max 4 months before the machine completely stopped working. The only advice De’Longhi gave us was to deep clean the machine which we did 10 times. Then they send us a video from a random YouTuber on how to reset the encoder - which In the actual video they YouTuber says that he doesn’t think it’s working!! Constantly dumping freshly ground expensive beans. Next step is for me to ship it to them at my expense for a repair. Which if you see the other reviews, doesn’t always get repaired! Avoid this design flaw at all costs.

    I’m extremely disappointed with the DeLonghi TruBrew coffee machine. After replacing our Nespresso with this $400 model, we had high expectations given the DeLonghi name, but it has been a letdown from day one. We’ve owned the machine for a year, and it has leaked continuously due to its inability to properly empty itself. This issue has not only been frustrating but has also stained our quartz countertops. In our experience, this has been the worst coffee machine purchase we’ve ever made. To make matters worse, customer service has been unhelpful. When we reached out for assistance, we were told that the poor emptying of grounds and water by the automatic feature is a design flaw and not covered under warranty. This response was both disappointing and unacceptable. I cannot recommend the DeLonghi TruBrew coffee machine. It’s expensive, poorly designed, and the customer service leaves much to be desired.

    Woeful Value for Money

    There are a few positives: the coffee machine looks good, it is easy to use, and the range of size options is nice. However, the machine does not dispense the amount you select, ever. Even with regular cleaning, the interior will get filthy and retain moisture, making it a haven for mould and bacteria. For $400, the quality of this machine should be much higher.
