Guests are saying
The Ember mug is highly appreciated for its ability to keep beverages warm for extended periods, making it a favorite among coffee lovers. However, many guests have expressed concerns about the durability of the charging coasters, which often fail after a short period. Despite these issues, the mug's design and functionality are praised, and having multiple coasters is seen as a practical solution for maintaining temperature while moving around the house or office.

Does not charge
The metal prongs get stuck in the charging station and will not charge your mug. I have two of these, what a disappointment, when working they are great

Great mug, terrible charger
I loved my mug, but this is my second mug and third charger. Three times the charger has gone bad. The pins get stuck and it will no longer charge.

The mug is great, but this is the second time the base charger pins have broken in less than 2 years. I'm debating whether to replace it again.

Charging base could be better made
I love the cup but this is the third replacement charging base I’ve had to buy. The metal nipple on the previous two became defective.

Defective Part
Prong on the charger broke. Love the brand. Quality should hold up better.

Flawed design will break in a couple of years.
Will only last a year or two. The design of the pins that charge the mug is fundamentally flawed. They will stick and you won’t be able to charge the mug. It’s affected me twice and is a known problem that Ember has not addressed.

Flawed product
Breaks every single year. Pin recess issue. I have gone through 3 of them in less than 3 years.

lovely to have warm coffee after an hour of workin
i got this for my partner, then got one for myself. now we need new charging coasters because the secondary pin wouldn't pop up (faulty spring maybe?) we have the original. hopefully the newer coasters resolve the pins.

Stops charging
These just break. They literally break. It won’t work at some point. The pins will break off or sink in and it will stop making contact. I’ve had Ember replace a couple, but the replacements break. I’ve given up (otherwise the mug is incredible).

Faulty charging coaster
Same problem as most reported with the coaster - one pin gets stuck down and it won’t charge.

Failed
There are 2 little pins that need to spring up when the mug is lifted. One of them lost its springiness, so my mug no longer charges.

Fabulous mug, charger pins a problem
I love the mug! It has been life-changing! Unfortunately, not so the charger. I have had issues with the pins becoming stuck, and it's virtually impossible to unstick them.

The charger's inside pin fails
I had a bunch of the Mugs and have gifted plenty. the issue is the inside pin on the chargers. they break, its always the same problem. I don't get why they haven't redesigned the charger.

EMBER SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF THEMSELVES!
Why hasn't Ember told its customers about Steve's vinegar fix for charging coasters???? I never heard of it untill I almost bought a replacement. Ember used to replace the charging coasters when the pins got stuck but now only do it under warranty. The charging coaster is a huge flaw with the Ember mugs, so they could have helped their customers by revealing the fix.

Fails to Charge within 12 months of normal usage
I concur with over 200 other reviews: 1. Problem: FAILS TO CHARGE WITHIN 12 MONTHS. 2. Root Cause: POOR DESIGN and possibly POOR manufacturing practices.
