I bought this FR 55 last month. It picks up satellites faster than my FR 235 did. It has more modes like walking. I finally used my wife's kayak and used my FR 55 too record that paddling event.

My cross country coach helped us fundraise for these watches about a month back and so far they have been great. I've never bought a running watch before but this one is perfect, with long-lasting battery life and sufficient capabilities.

I needed a heart monitor for my Edge 540, but all the features the Forerunner gives me as a hobby cyclist is beyond words. Thank you, Garmin for a wonderful piece of craftsmanship...

A Garmin Forerunner 55 is my first GPS watch that I use when I run. Strava has had problems losing signal even in the middle of Central Park, New York City, and became unreliable. I haven't had the same problem with my Garmin. I have not yet fully utilized all features but it has already proven very useful.

The watch is comfortable to wear. I wear it daily to track my steps and for running. I am a beginner runner and I really enjoy the metrics I get from my runs. I find the battery life is pretty good too. It's a good all around watch, but it does look pretty sporty. I'd prefer a different band option such as a nylon velcro situation.

Great watch that is easy to love for all of its fitness tracking!! The only thing that I would note is it’s a bigger watch and is a little bit bulky. I love using it for running and tracking my sleep at night! This watch is probably better for a more experienced Garmin user as it has a lot more features like more advanced fitness tracking.

I bought this about a year ago, and it has been working perfectly ever since. It is nice to only have to charge it every few weeks or so, and you don't have to take it off to swim or shower.

I bought this watch when my other fitness tracker had an issue with the app. I rage quit that tracker and I'm so glad I did. The forerunner is a MUCH more accurate and helpful device for my run training. I love the built in fitness programs and the amazing data available post-workout. Plus, it's comfortable.

Watch has some good features but the readout is SO small I can barely read it without glasses and I don’t wear glasses during exercise. Wish I had not bought it
Excellent features and lengthy battery life!

I bought this to train and wear for my upcoming marathon. I have been extremely pleased with the quality and absolutely love the battery life. I can go an entire week without having to charge and would be able to go even longer if I wasn't running 12-20 ish miles every weekend. I had heard great things about these and I am very pleased with this purchase. 10/10 would definitely buy again.

I have had the Forerunner 55 for two weeks and it is finally doing everything I want it to, and has mostly stopped doing things I don't want it to. It may seem strange, but I actually like to use my running watch for running. So when I want to start running and the watch starts suggesting workouts, it really interferes with the intended function. Silly me did not realize that you actually have to SELECT the suggested workout so you can stop the suggestions. Meanwhile, I have not figured out how to stop the tips from popping up. Remind me of the old MS Windows paperclip that got in the way when you were trying to work. All of this is a critique of the software, not the watch. The watch itself is just fine. Easy to read. I was even able to get the clock face looking how I want (I chose analog). It picks up satellites quickly, easy to charge, and the battery life is very good. I have it paired with my phone and everything seems to be working how I want. I have loaded workouts onto the watch. The 55 seems to lack a few options (Cannot load a "custom" workout, and cannot opt out of final rest in an interval set - but these shortcomings are not a problem for me at all). I like the watch size and strap.

Besides the classic running and exercise features, the one that blowedmy mind was the breathing feature (stress). It helps to relax and calm down. It alerted me that I forgot to keep breathing, hahaha! That was something great!

I’ve had many Garmin watches. Got this for my special needs son to monitor his sleep, health, etc. The flashy marketing info describes sleep monitor. body battery, etc. Well that’s if you take the watch off and connect it to your computer and go to Garmin Express. Too much of a pain and hassle. So I returned this watch. Also didn’t like its not touch screen and has FIVE buttons you’ve got to learn what each does. My others have two. Overall not a fan of

Sleep tracking innacuracy

I have found that my sleep logs inaccurately it will say I’m asleep hours before I am if I’m laying in bed on my phone and will extend my sleep until I physically get out of bed it does not realize I am awake. Throughout the day it will add random sleep time as well from minutes to hours that is not “updating to be accurate” but instead adding random time on either end of my sleep cycle. The watch will all me also that I get little to no deep sleep and nearly half and half light and rem which feels wrong but maybe is just how I sleep? I can imagine that’s right especially along with the other sleep inaccuracies. I’ve only had my watch a couple weeks and am hoping it will adjust/calibrate in time to me? The garmin watch is great for a new runner to track everything else but not sleep which I was looking forward to.
