  • A: From a chef's perspective in case you do not have a dishwasher, one way to clean it would be to insert dish soap and little warm (not hot) water. Turn it on to distribute the soapy water around the blades. Pour it out and continue to wash until one's own liking. Best to do this after every use to prevent the build-up of mold or bacteria.

  • A: I had to throw out the 2 that I had bought--after 4 months, neither would separate the cup from the black bottom. I bought it a second time because (a) thought that inability to separate cup from black bottom on the first one was a fluke and (b) liked the way it looked and had worked previously. Now must buy another brand.

    Says Dishwasher Safe But It's Not

    I've had 2 of these blenders in the last 2 months that I use daily. Both of them have started cracking and leaking from the bottom after about a month. These are very low quality and definitely are not dishwasher safe. Save your time and money and just upgrade to a better one the first time.

    Broke in a month - two times.

    I bought it in September. Liked it a lot. It started leaking within a month. I returned it at the store and got a lecture by the saleswoman about keeping boxes and giving me a “one time exception” to exchange it. Well the second lasted one month before the bottom broke off and leaked all over the counter and floor. Really frustrating. I haven’t tried to return it but bought a new blender (also from Target) that’s twice as expensive that hopefully will last.

    Lasted 3 months

    This blender is a great example of getting what you pay for. I make smoothies almost daily. After the first month of using this one, it started slightly leaking from the bottom (near the blades). I was still able to use it for another 2 months but then it completely died this morning. I didn't want to reach in to confirm but it seemed that the blade may have broken off while i was using it - it started making a noise like trying to rev an engine with a car in neutral. Anyway, I'm off to buy a more expensive version now. Thanks for nothing.
