Ok I was hesitant to buy based on all of the reviews about it leaking water and/or the mist soaking everything around it. I have been using this for 3 weeks now and have not run into these issues while using. When this is running on high it does not last for 8 hours. When I run this on low it will last for more than 8 hours but the mist is minimal. I’m not waking up with dry nasal passages so it probably still works on low. I missed the part of the instructions that say do not move the entire unit when it is filled with water. I did that and there is an overfill water release nozzle that sent water everywhere. Lesson learned. It still works after my mishap and hasn’t spilled water everywhere since. And whether I run on high or low the surrounding area isn’t covered in water.

I did the same as a lot of other people and took the tank off to fill it for first use and it leaked. Ever since that first day I filled it from the top and had no leaking issues. You will need to keep some kind of water catch underneath it. There is a huge overfill hole on the bottom and if not on a level surface it will empty the entire reservoir. When it works though, it’s great.

Does not leak! I think the reviewer below is spot on. If you remove the water tank to fill and pop it back in, the base can flood and can cause leaks. I keep a small water pitcher in the bathroom and fill it from the TOP every day. I use the high setting at bedtime and the tank needs to be refilled nightly. There is some weight to this small humidifier and well built. No filters, no gross clean outs. The essential oil tray is a nice touch! I have a larger Holmes humidifier for 13 years running and works perfect to this day.

Leaks like crazy

Leaks like crazy right out the bottom. Not a small amount, a lot. Before I realized that, we used it for 2 nights. The first night on high but it ran out of water within 8 hours (was empty by the time I woke up). The next night on low, which was much too low, but that still was running in the morning. But it barely had any mist output on low, it was it seemed about the same as an essential oil diffuser I have. But by tonight I realized that all of the clothes that were folded on the shelf below were absolutely soaked. It was a mess. I'm returning it.

No filter, easy to clean, easy to fill--but my favorite aspect is the run time. I love being able to turn it on a few hours before bed and wake up with a few more hours to go in the morning. It is the perfect run time.

I’ve had this humidifier for about a year and a half now, and all i do not recommend it. While it is quiet and aesthetically appealing, it will leak the entire reservoir worth of water while filling it up. I had this on two shelves and my dresser and the problem persisted.

I have this humidifier for years. The first time I bought. I took the container to fill with water and as soon as I put in the base strated leaking. I thought it was defective, then I realize that you do not need to take the entire container to fill it up. You need to open the lid and pour the water from there. For all the people saying it leaks. I think you are removing the entire water container. Do not remove it, just open the lid and put water. It works perfect.

Love this humidifier. I do not experience any leaking with mine. It is a bit bigger than I expected, but it blends well with decor. The only thing is with the amount of water it holds, it does not last all night. I’d say it gives about 4-5 hours of steam. But overall very simple and great use!

I bought this a little less than a year ago and it has worked great, but recently the lower speed setting doesn't blow anything out so only the higher setting is working which is good but sometimes it can be too much for a small room.
