This thing is very bright and the music detection algorithm works quite well and provides a lot of variety. The APP is also very helpful in setting the look that you want without a lot of hassle. The lights connect to the phone quickly every time. Depending on the size of the room you might want to get two or more. I got one at first but thought it wasn't doing enough in my space. Two cover a lot more area and provide plenty of light. I would also recommend using a fog machine with these for maximum effect. The white light beams are really neat and create some cool patterns wherever they hit, but they really shine with some fog. They are also designed very nicely and don't have the industrial "best kept of sight" most other party lights have. Most party lights look like they belong in the rafters or trussing of a club environment, not out next to your nice furniture. JBL should also make these in white so they fit into more decor options.

Ok light. Works well if the room is quite small and pitch black. There aren’t many different modes for the light which is a bit disappointing. The app is good and allows you to sync the light with a Partybox speaker but it has to be a recent one, it doesn’t work with older models. Overall, I’d say buy this for use at home not for any big events.

I was lucky enough to try this light beam, it's great quality, stylish and sturdy, it's easy to use and set up via the jbl app. The Beam has changing multi coloured lights that flash in different patterns, it's great for parties, but I think it would be better if it rotated instead of being stationary,

I tried out the JBL Party Light Beam recently, and I've got to say-it definitely brings some energy to the room. The colors are bright, the beams move around in different patterns, and it reacts nicely to music, which is always a plus for parties. It's compact and easy to set up, so you don't have to deal with a bunch of wires or complicated settings. Just plug it in, connect, and it's ready to go. But here's the thing: one single light on its own doesn't really give that full party atmosphere. It looks more like a cool accent than a full light show. To really get the vibe going, you need at least a pair of these lights working together. With two or more, the patterns bounce off each other and fill up the space, making everything feel way more alive and club-like. So, the JBL Party Light Beam is fun and does what it says, but if you're serious about creating a party mood, grab at least two. Trust me, the difference is huge.

I received this to test and review from #Reviewclub #Raver48 we used this in a family and friends party it's well made. It's compact but produces a powerful light show that fills the hole room. The party light is good at switching back and forth and mixing with the party box, unfortunately sometimes the beam cannot keep up with the colour changes of the partybox but I still highly recommend this.

This is a fantastic piece of kit! It came in a compact box, initially giving me the impression it wouldn’t be up to much. How wrong was I! This compact party beam is truly fantastic. After downloading the JBL Partybox app, I was able to sync the beam perfectly with the Partybox Club 120 (also by JBL). The light show it created was truly incredible, with various different options available on the app. The angle of the lights can be altered simply by rotating the beam. There are a selection of colours, brightness speeds and effects, meaning you are fully in control of the atmosphere you want to create. I find the partybeam works really well with other JBL speakers, but it can also be used as a stand-alone product. The partybeam looked like a professional piece of kit, despite its compact size. The lights feel well protected, which can sometimes be an issue. My only minor gripe is that the beam has to be plugged in at all times, which means it’s not as portable as the speaker which I used it with! Overall, this is a great addition to the JBL range. It’s definitely worth the money, and most definitely provides the wow factor at any party!

I got this light roughly 3 weeks ago and it’s absolutely brilliant, lightweight but sturdy and made with real quality, it syncs up with the party box 120 very easily and has multiple different settings depending on the environment you are in. It can be programmed to move along with music that you are playing (providing it’s connected to a party box) but the brightness levels are amazing, my little girl had a birthday at home and this was very much one of the highlights of the day with music

My children love this party light. The ability to easily sync it to the speaker is a bonus. I do feel there is a delay between the speaker and the light when the light function is set to adapt to the music. Wish there was options to set pattern playlists and pick specific colours for while listening to music and adaption. Easy to use and maneuverable. Great little gadget and ideal for parties and even just mini home disco's.

After buying 4 units, they do not light anywhere close to the specified distance, the white circular gobos, can only be seen if the unit is extremely close to a wall or floor. They are disappointing, I bought them to go with 2 intimate party boxes and 6 party tubes. A Harman JBL user, sorry to say while other equipment is excellent, these are not the standard, I expect from JBL.
