used both the shampoo and conditioner as I have died red hair and instead of boosting my red it’s like it faded my color to almost copper, which is not what I wanted at all.

Not the best shampoo but does deposit color

This definitely works to deposit color (think more mellow reds, not intense bright, fire engine or cherry cola) but it doesn't clean my hair well. I have fine, color treated hair that I wash every other day. I find that I can barely make it to that every other day wash bc my hair isn't as clean as with other shampoos. I use a hair serum on same day cleaned hair and the area it was applied to never fully dried and was tacky. I've used this serum for months and never had this issue before. So it's a give and take. If you are more concerned about the color depositing than the clean feeling -- or wash your hair every day -- then this would definitely be for you. I may try to conditioner to see if it helps with the color depositing without the film.

I absolutely love the shampoo that's why I bought some more of it however when I tried the conditioner that went with it it disappointed me I was hoping that you can make it up by referring a better conditioner that would add some volume to my hair thank you and have a great day.

So I bought this in the hopes that it would help my dark red color. It did not. It didn’t stain my shower which was nice! But mostly because it barely had any pigment in it. Same goes for the conditioner.

I have natty locs and my hair is died purple, but my ends kept fading green so I wanted a touch of red to get that ugly green fade away. I was disappointed that it was not a color depositing shampoo. I rubbed it on my ends anyway but thought it would not help much. I was surprised at the hint of red tint my ends had after rinsing. It blended well with the purple too. I hate it has sulfates tho.

Did absolutely nothing to "enhance" or preserve my red hair! Very strange. I used it but could tell immediately that it was going to have very little red depositing effects. Thats what i thought it would do. Deposit a bit of red each wash to refresh your color or at the very least, keep it from fading as fast. But it did nothing. My hair faded just as fast. Ill stick to Lime Crime color depositing shampoo and conditioners. They actually work.

Hi, I am naturally dark blonde with some highlights and some actual red hairs (my sister was a natural dark strawberry blonde). I've been using your Blonde Highlighting shampoo and conditioner for years--saw this and thought I would experiment. It turned out pretty well! Now I have a question--what will happen if I go back to the Blonde Highlighting shampoo for my next wash? (It's for a Halloween thing). I don't want to have any weird green, orange or whatever colors.
