Q: I have run the complete descaling process and done everything that it said and I cannot get the descale light to shut off. I even did all the how to fix it Online suggestions and nothing works. The light is still on, please advise?

  • A: Thanks for your question. We're sorry to hear about this. Did you activate the Descale Mode on your K-Express coffee maker before starting the process? To activate Descale Mode, begin with the brewer plugged in and powered off, then press and hold the 8oz and 12oz buttons together for 3 seconds. When flashing, press the 12oz button to start the descaling process. Once the descale process is complete, the DESCALE notification should turn off automatically. If you followed the correct process for the K-Express and are still experiencing this, please call our Consumer Care team at 866-901-2739, we will be more than happy to help.

Depending on the mineral content of your water, calcium deposits or scale may build up in your brewer. Scale is non-toxic but if left unattended can hinder brewer performance. Regularly descaling your brewer every 3-6 months helps maintain the heating element, and other internal parts that come in contact with water. We hope this helps!

    I purchased the same product 6 years ago and it stopped working so I decided to buy another one. If you don't have much time and want you coffee fast this is a good product to own. I am a little disappointed that the first one didn't last longer but 6 years is a long time.

    I purchased this single serve, along with the K-cup drawer, to replace an older Keurig on our boat, and I LOVE the 2 of them together. They aren’t taking up much more space than the other needed. They tuck away nicely off to the side, are easy to move, and just look Classy!!
