Q: Can you use a reusable k-cup so you can use your own coffee?

  • A: You have to remove the brewing unit that is already in the machine by pushing it up from underneath. We tried to get it out from the top and it didn't work. We were about to give up when my husband watched a video online about this machine and the reusable coffee filter. I was about ready to take both the coffee maker and reusable cup back to Target. Keurig just keeps telling people it is compatible but doesn't tell them what they have to do . When you look at the machine from the top it appears that the installed k-cup filter is one piece unable to be removed and it would not lift out from above. I hope this helps anyone else who has an issue with the reusable cup.

  • A: Not that I've found. Unless I'm doing something wrong, the Keurig Universal My K-Cup Reusable Coffee Filter, as suggested by Keurig Care, does not fit my brewer. It is too tall with or without the adapter.

  • A: Just to see if it would work, I just now used my reusable iCoffee iCup (the sole survivor of my iCoffee one cup machine, may it R.I.P.), and it worked perfectly fine in the Keurig K-Mini. Just had to be sure it was flush before closing, but it did the job and didn't kill my K-mini (whew!)

Q: We have had a single-serve Keurig for about a year. All of a sudden when you put the pod in, push down on it and push the center button in the coffee maker turns off. We have to play with it several times before it works. Any suggestions?

  • A: Keurig offers another model of this coffeemaker which includes a removable water reservoir, as well as the option of a stronger brew. It is far better, in my opinion. I purchased the lesser model sold here by Target and within a year I upgraded to the slightly more expensive version. They are both fine coffeemakers but if you're like me and want the best version, this one isn't it.

They have this model (though Plus - w/removable water reservoir and K cup storage bin accessory) and in it's detailed description is indicates it's My K Cup compatible. I'll update if that isn't the case once I pick mine up today or tomorrow.

It's not a K-15

I had a K-15 for 7-8 yrs that quit working. Pros of the mini: uses fresh water for each cup; I use my own grounds as well as K-cups, automatic shutoff after making my one cup. Two cons: The machine goes on automatically every time you raise the lever - like to clean/empty the grounds ?? I have to remember to turn it off, or unplug it. why not just on/off button on demand? if someone makes more than one cup at a time, they probably wouldn't want this machine. The annoying problem is: it spits. Bc it being tall (taller than the K-15), my cup doesn't cover the distance, nor does any "regular" size coffee mug I tried to find (also annoying), and I don't travel. Not huge issues but have to clean up after it is sort of annoying. I solved this (also annoying) by: cut a hole in the bottom of a milk bottle, cut it to fit on top of my cup, to shield the splatter. Now it's fine, after maneuvering a few hoops :-( I hope it will last. But, what was wrong with the K-15??

I'm a big fan of Keurig products, making the K-Slim my 3rd product at home. I have the K-Slim in my home office and it's incredibly convenient for a quick refill on the job. It holds enough for one cup, making it a great supporting coffee maker but if you drink coffee regularly I would recommend the larger size. This one is small enough to go into any room and super easy to clean.

This coffee machine sucks it didn’t even last a year. What a waste of money. I tried cleaning it and it won’t brew coffee with the k cup, almost like it’s clogged but then when I remove the k cup the water comes out. GARBAGE

Love this coffee maker! It fits perfectly on top of a mini fridge and makes an excellent cup of coffee. One minor quirk is that if you’re using a smaller, wide mug it splashes when brewing.

Worked great until it didn’t. After about 1.5 years it started having an electrical problem. It shorts out when I pull down the handle. Of course it’s out of warranty now. Keurig verified it was defective, but only offered me 20% off the purchase of a new coffee maker.

I’ve had this for 8 months and it decided to die on me. The steps to make coffee sometimes doesn’t work and you will have to trouble shoot. Overall I wanted to love it since I love the color but it’s quality isn’t the same as my more expensive one. If you want better quality you will have to pay more.
