Gray hair still shows up
I bought the mahogany red color. Love the color but it didn't hide all my grays like it says it does. And that's why I bought this brand. Wish it worked better

Did they put the wrong color in the box?
I used 5AB in order to cover some gray. This color is close to my natural color (or so it seemed in your pictures). The result I received is almost black when comparing the color of my hair to the black shirt I'm wearing in the picture. I wish there was something that could be done to undo this because this black color looks un-natural on me and fake. As I said in the title, did they put the wrong color in the 5AB box?

Incredible!
I used 8G Medium Golden Blonde with fabulous results. Under my colored hair I am 100% silver for reference. From day one I’ve always used L’Oréal Preference in the same shade and always loved it until they changed the formula which is what led me to try Excellence. My hair has never looked better or felt better for that matter. I got the exact result that was on the side of the box. Color is gorgeous and my hair was left soft, shiny and well conditioned. The scent while applying the color was not overpowering, the included shampoo lathers up lovely and smells so nice and the conditioner smells wonderful and conditioned my hair like no other. I’m thrilled I gave Excellence a try and will continue to use it.

You changed your product and made it worse, not better. So many people are disappointed in it. You should read Reddit - the same complaints by many people on and on and on it goes. People like myself used this product for years and years, and are now very disappointed with it.

Excellent 7 Dark Blonde is the best grays away!
I really highly recommend this product: 7 Dark Blonde. I’ve tried so many other brands, and they don’t work. This keeps my grays away. I’m glad I love it. It’s not changing, so I can buy this product, not like other brands who keep changing the packaging constantly. This is my favorite! Again highly recommend!

Better than nothing
I use this on my hair and have done so forever, but to me it looks like a light brown and not a natural blonde. I only like L'Oréal hair color and so I will stay with it.

Disappointed in TN
I’ve used Med Blonde color for years, at least 20. Always had compliments, even from my hair stylist. Now suddenly it turns my hair red. So disappointing.

Ok - this is HANDS DOWN... THE best blonde hair color for at home dye jobs that has ever existed! My hair pulls red, and I've spent the last 20 years of my life spending hundreds and hundreds of dollars on purple shampoos and blue shampoos and at-home toners. What a waste of time and money!! I wish I'd jist spent the little extra for L'oreal's 01 Extra Light Natural Ash Blonde to begin with. To say I'm happy with this product would be an understatement!! Some reviews have knocked the smell during processing, but to ME, that was the smell of success!! My other color that I've used for at least 10 years never had that smell, and it always gave me a brassy, copper undertone that I spent weeks trying to get rid of. Thank you, L'oreal.. your 01 is my new NUMBER ONE!!

Makes your hair thick and natural looking.
I buy medium brown and goes on my hair almost dark brown and use the shampoo which gives highlights. The small shampoo that comes excellence. Shampoo right after time 30 minutes. You will have beautiful hair after rinsing hair color out.

Ive used the same color for over 20 years! I would have always given a 5star rating as my hair felt the best after I would dye it! But when you removed the pre-treat conditioner and replaced it with shampoo- ugh!! WHY?!?! My hair feels fried now. I’d give it a 2 star if I had another choice that matches my color as well. PLEASE BRING BACK THE PRE-CONDITIONER!

Terrible coverage and bad color
Bought natural golden blonde 8.3 for my blonde hair. The color turned out red after following instructions very carefully normally I go to the salon and get Kevin Murphy color, but I am traveling and could not find a salon that carries it here. Very disappointing nothing at all like the color chart. Coverage of my roots were bad as well. now, I have to wait for at least a month to get this repaired. Total waste of money and time.

NOT FOR CURLY HAIR!
I have naturally curly hair, and I specifically chose this product because: The box shows two examples: one with straight hair, one with curly hair. It clearly states: “GRAY COVERAGE FOR ALL HAIR TYPES.” However, after full ingredient review and personal use, I must warn other curly-haired users: The included shampoo contains Sodium Laureth Sulfate (SLS) — a harsh surfactant that strips natural oils and damages curl structure. The conditioner is not lightweight at all — it’s full of heavy silicones like Dimethicone and Amodimethicone. It also contains alcohols (like Stearyl and Cetyl Alcohol), which may dry out curly hair over time. The combination of sulfates + silicones + drying alcohols is especially harmful for curls. This product does not meet curly-safe standards and will likely leave curls limp, dry, or frizzy. L’Oréal, please stop advertising this kit as suitable for "all hair types" especially when your formulation clearly contradicts that.
