In just 3 seconds gray roots are concealed with our light-weight, quick dry formula leaving no smudging or sticky residue when dry. One application of medium blonde root coverup will last until your next shampoo, plus it’s ammonia-free, peroxide-free, and contains no synthetic dyes. Magic Root Cover Up is available in a palette of eight shades which can be used on black hair, brown hair, blonde hair and even red hair. Packaging may vary. I have been using this product for a few years now, and I swear by it. The only reason I gave this a three star rating is because of the color. The light golden brown looks black. I normally use the light brown. I like that color the best even though it does come out a little darker. The light Golden brown actually rubbed off on my pillow and that’s the first time I’ve ever had this happen. Unfortunately target does not allow returns for these products. But Amazon will. So if you have lighter brown hair with golden highlights, I would suggest using a blonde color instead of brown.

Magic Root Cover Up works great for between color blending. I have been using this product for several years. I have brown hair with some developing grays. This spray works quite well to touch up those pesky grays between coloring. It sprays on very easily and the nozzle makes for easy root aim. It can go on a little “heavy” and create some texture.

Sprays on easily without notable odor. However does not dry well within even 30 minutes. Smudges all over forehead, rubs off on fingers. Despite attempting to brush in and let it sit kept shedding. Had to immediately wash hair to get off residue and prevent spreading of dye to bed.

Great coverage for my type hair. My only complaint is sometimes the color gets on other things. People will be like oh you have black on your cheek! If you touch your hair after use. Not the same product
The last few bottles I have ordered have had a horrible spray…spraying all over my face/head/even on my bathroom counter. This particular one…seemed like it had 2% of color to it…not covering anything no matter how much I sprayed. This product used to work great but the ones I’ve ordered from Target are awful. Tried to return through drive up or to put in to fix the issue and it won’t give any of that as an option!

It has good coverage, but it doesn’t dry… It made my hair feel goofy no matter how much I brushed it… And anytime I would touch it to adjust my hair throughout the day. I’m left with dark brown, goop all over my hands… I took a shower and tried to shampoo it out and my hair still feels goofy so I’m hoping by the next shampoo my hair will start to feel normal again..
