I really want to love it but gosh darn it, I hate how long it takes to get rice ready. I usually cook 2 cups of brown rice and it takes 98 minutes to cook!! And don't be deceived by how bulky it looks. Just because it looks bulky does not mean you can cook more rice. I can only cook a max of 2 cups of brown rice in this one. And this rice cooker is small but bulky. I like the reheating option though. I've left rice for like 2 days and was able to reheat rice in it and it'll taste fresh just like how I first made it.

I love the size. Perfect for 2-3 people. The rice is still fresh in there even after 3 days. I’m reading some of the other reviews and it doesn’t make sense. I recommend reading the user manual lots of information and setting features you can change in your own, like turning off the sounds. Some of the reviews I’m reading, sounds like user error. It does take about 60 mins for rice to cook which is about 30 more minutes than I’m use too. My previous brand rice cooker was “ tiger” unfortunately it wasn’t keeping my rice fresh anymore after a day, reason for the new purchase. I am very happy with this one! Of course I got it on sale!
Fluffy rice

Never had brown rice that was so fluffy! Albeit a 90 min cook time. I like that it is the perfect size for 1-2 people. The quick cycle worked perfectly fine with jasmine rice which was about a half hour. When using the normal setting it was double the time but turned out fluffier. Inner cooking pot is heavy and great quality. Rice cooker Looks nice on the counter and doesn’t take up a lot of space. Hopefully the digital clock doesn’t stop working, not sure if you can change a battery for it? The cook time countdown is helpful. The retractable cord is a nice touch. Worth the price, I got it on sale.
Disappointing Taste, Small Cooker

Disappointing taste, small in micom 3 cup rice cooker 38 warmer. Stick to white rice, not good brown mixed rice. Other functions work, but taste is bad. Stick to Zojirushi for better quality.

This rice cooker is seriously one of my favorite appliances! It makes perfect rice every time, no matter what type of rice it is. I find this size is perfect for 2-3 people. If you have a large family, you might want a larger size maker. I like that you can make a small amount of rice too. I really like that the rice will stay good for a couple days in this rice maker without drying out or burning up. It's pretty amazing.

We love this so much. It was so hard to pay this price but really it is totally worth it. We bought this over two years ago and it really has no wear and we use it so much. Love the size, inside line color contrast, and the variations of grain. Soooooo easy to use! Only thing made a mistake when first used to use a regular spoon and created a fife mark inside...you the recommended spoon only. Always perfect grains! No kidding! XOXO

This makes the softest, fluffiest rice EVER! It had a high quality and easy to clean design. I never thought the price was worth it but I saved up and took the plunge. I will never live another day of my life without one of these rice cookers in my home.

I tried several methos of making overnight steel cut oats including two different brands of slow cookers. None got it just right. I took a chance on the 3 cup Zojurishi, and it cooks steel cut oats to perfection! I use 1/2 cup oats and 2 cups water, set the timer to be ready at 8am the next morning and it cooks the oats and keeps them warm until I serve them. The cooker looks great on my countertop. It's also great for rice, particularly gaba brown rice. Highly recommend.

I love this rice cooker - makes the greatest pot of rice ever! Only downside is the time it takes to cook - regular cycle 60 minutes and quick cycle 40 - there is a timer feature which I am going to try - great buy!!

one of, if not, the best product I have ever purchased. (shipping from Target took a few days to get going, but arrived fast once FedEx got it). From opening the box to cooking my very first cup of rice was all very easy.. and fun, too..and the rice was, by far, the best rice I've ever had. phenomenal!!
Worth the money! Wish I bought it sooner.

For someone like me who eats rice multiple times a week it’s a dream. Super easy. Perfectly compact. The perfect size for a single person or couple. Rice is perfect every time. You can set it up so the rice is ready by a specific time and I love the little jingle it plays, it makes me feel like I’m back in Japan.

I was hesitant to spend so much on a rice cooker when there are other ones for less than $20… but I gotta say, this thing is worth every penny. First night we had it, we made sushi rice. PERFECT. Perhaps better than any restaurant sushi rice I’ve ever had. Brown rice? Perfectly cooked. Oats? Flawless. My only complaint is that it does arrive with a strong odor inside. Luckily, it was just a bad odor and didn’t impart any flavor in the food. It went away for the most part after about 2 months.
No better rice cooker ever made than this one

This is a high quality rice cooker. It cooks the rice to perfection unlike my last rice cooker which was Oster brand. My only complaint is that it takes one hour to cook some simple white rice as opposed to my old rice cooker that only took 12 minutes. Honestly, it is worth the wait though.
Works great, easy to use, worth the money!

Absolutely great for all types of rice. Jasmine is my go-to, and have had no problems using that type of rice in this cooker. MAKE SURE YOU FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS. If you don't rinse your rice, you will be a sad hungry person when you open the lid to your rice goo. And be sure to treat the cooking pot gently. Again, follow your instructions; use only the plastic spatula or bamboo, don't scrape if you can help it, and when cleaning, allow to soak, if neccessary, and clean with cloth or soft sponge. Absolutely zero reason to destroy the surface with abrasive tools. Also amazing for making steel cut oats. SO BEAUTIFUL to not have to loom over the stove stirring and hoping not to burn some to the pot. If you enjoy a brown rice texture to your oats, measure your liquid normally. I say "liquid" because I use milk for mine! If you like it with a bit more of a stirrable consistency, go midway to the next measurement line (i.e., for one cup of oats, I use measurement for 1.25 cups on the liquid line). You can use other ingredients in your rice with this cooker, but for some things will likely take some trial and error (word to the wise--write down what you did and how you do it; made Chicken and Rice perfectly the first time I tried, my other attempts after resulted in not evenly cooked rice throughout. ) I bought this to use in my household of myself, my husband, and my dad, and it makes just enough to keep us all happy. If you have a larger household or the Steel Cut Oats option is unimportant, there are other super fun models this brand makes that I'm sure would work. I love this rice cooker, and the sounds it makes are an obnoxious added bonus.
Up your rice game!

I’d been thinking about getting a Zojirushi rice maker for over a decade - I could never pull the trigger because over $100 for a rice maker when I could just put a pot on the stove seemed excessive. Well, it was money well spent. Not only is it a lot easier but it also has a better consistency than stovetop rice. Highly recommend.
