Sleekly styled to fit even the tightest countertops and smallest of kitchens, the Nespresso Essenza Mini is a must-have for any coffee enthusiast. This compact espresso machine opens up a world of rich coffee flavors thanks to its 19-bar pressure pump that allows for barista-style results right in the comfort of your own home. It perfectly extracts the delicate, smooth flavors and premium aromas of each coffee capsule during the brewing process, ensuring that delicious, rich taste you love. Serving up espresso in just minutes - just the way you like it - the Essenza features two push buttons, Espresso and Lungo, to keep operation a breeze. Alongside cup after delicious cup of espresso, Nespresso capsules are recyclable, while the machine itself includes an eco-mode for low-energy consumption along with an automatic energy-saving function, so you can feel good about using the machine on the daily.
I relied heavily on reviews before choosing this machine, so I decided to write one myself. I had the Nespresso U prior to this and loved it. It lasted 6 years, and I probably would have replaced it with the same, except they no longer make that model. The Essenza Plus is the current “equivalent”, I am guessing. I am watching my pennies, so I wanted to look at this budget friendlier model. Pros: It makes an equivalent excellent cup of espresso/coffee as my prior machine. It Is cheaper and smaller. Cons: The plus (and the U I had prior) has the movable water container, meaning you can conform it better to your space. The mini, while it is narrow, it is long. So if you have room to set it parallel to your wall, it takes up almost no space at all. However, if you want to set it perpendicular to the wall, it does stick out far into counter space. Other notes: Many complain of the noise it makes. I don’t find it to be any louder than my prior machine, so perhaps this is just how Nespresso machines sound. But it only takes a couple seconds to brew the coffee, so not a deterrent at all, unless you have family members trying to sleep. For some perspective - It’s much much quieter than a blender in the morning! If you are watching your pennies, or don’t need the bells and whistles of a more expensive model, I highly recommend this one.
I tend to agree with the positive reviews here; the machine works well and consistently delivers a tasty product. The sale price Target offered was unbelievably low if you ordered it for in-store pickup, just FYI. Value at full-price is questionable, though. As another heads-up, the Archer Farms compatible capsules are a less costly but they use plastic and thus are not easily recycled.
I LOVE this. Was stalking it for a while online before purchasing, trying to get the best price on the white version. Target had a discount on coffee machines going, and I got lucky! It's quick, quiet and I love having espresso available in an instant. Also bonus points for Nespresso and their recycling program. So happy with my purchase.
I bought this machine as a gift for my espresso-loving boyfriend. We have an insanely small kitchen with barely any counter space. When it arrived in the mail, I was AMAZED at how miniature it really is. Unlike other compact pod coffee makers I've owned (I've owned two different mini versions of Keurig machines, which had many, many problems), the Nespresso Mini is very reliable. I'm very happy with it, and would recommend it to anyone looking to save on counter space without skimping on quality!
Attractive and makes great espresso, but design has some hiccups.

Pros - fantastic espressos and lungos; takes up very little counter space; attractive design; I got a fantastic deal
Cons - the platform for cups inexplicably sits about 1/8” higher than the machine and is (too) loosely secured to the empty cartridge bin; keep finding droplets of espresso under the unit, which will stain a counter if not cleaned promptly.
