Q: Does lid fully shut when not locked? I just bought one & there is about an inch gap where it doesn't fully close. Just wondering if this is the design or do I have a defective one. Thanks!

Q: I have tried to use several brands of 13 gallon trash bags and none of them have fit around the top of the trash can . What size and kind of trash bags do you use with this trashcan.

A: I use 30 gal hefty bags. Being oversized allows to tuck it under the bars easily, and put more in when you pull it out.

I like the locking feature and the fact that the foot pedal can be moved up and down. However, i need to make sure and put a sign on it for people to check and make sure it is unlocked before opening bc the pedal broke when someone tried to open it when locked

Cheaply made! We moved into our new house eight days ago bought this trashcan on day one and the foot pedal is broken. Plus, there's no way to open it without the pedal unless you use a key or a screwdriver because it doesn't have a grip when it is closed. And what's hilarious is that completely pointless "lock option" that's on there. There's no getting into this trash can even with it unlocked unless you have the pedal. Very disappointing. $45 trash can lol smh!

I’ve been using it for a week and when I tell you the pedal falls off like 8 times a day, it’s wild. The lock feature is really cool, the size is great, quality of the material is fine… but oh my god that pedal is the worst thing in the world. I hate it. I want to return it.

Absolutely love this trash can! It’s the only trash can that my dog can’t get into. He’s tried knocking it over, biting it, and more yet he still can’t get it open. Despite all of this it’s lasted us almost a year with no issues, which is why we just bought a new one for another area in our house. Definitely recommend if you have a dog that likes getting into the trash and figured out other locking lids. This trash can has also deterred him from getting in the trash in general as well.

Likes: esthetic design, functional and practical design, easy to change bags, locking lid and overall lid design prevents crafty pets from getting in Dislikes: pedal broke after less than 15 months of use. A small, cheaply made, non-replaceable plastic part made this unusable when it broke.
