Love the chicken, but I'm having a real hard time finding it anymore.

Who doesn’t like chicken rice a roni or any kind of rice a roni products?

I followed the directions and even add more water and yet the rice is still hard and I even cook it longer. It has zero taste to it. I just had to throw the entire rice in the garbage because the rice is still hard even after cooking it for over 25 minutes. I used to make rice a roni as a child by myself all the time and had zero issues in cooking the rice and now both my husband and I can’t get the rice to cook so it isn’t hard and we add more water and when we are lucky enough for it to turn out the rice is extremely bland tasting.

I just bought this and it is 6.9 oz, not smaller as some reported. It's just as good as it ever was. I think some of the reviewers lost their tastebuds during Covid. Thank you!

I love this product! My Grandma made it and I was amazed how good it was when I was a kid. I love it plain or just add some snow peas near end of cooking.

This was a favorite in my household for many years, but the product in this new box is not the same. The seasonings in the enclosed packet used to be a rich bright yellow color, but in this box the seasonings were a very pale yellowy beige. It was an immediately noticeable change. But the box said nothing about this being a new formula. The product not only doesn't look the same, it doesn't taste the same. The flavor is now just as bland as the color of the new seasonings. I hate companies that don't value their customers at all and think we're too stupid to notice when a product is completely different from how it used to be. Obviously, they're now using cheaper ingredients to increase their profits with no concern whatsoever about the difference in taste. I won't be buying any Rice-A-Roni products ever again.

I have been using this product for years, especially the chicken flavor. The last couple of boxes I have made have had little brown bugs in them. I don't see them until I add the water, gross. What a waste of money and used to be such a great side dish. I won't be buying anymore.

Quick and easy to make . Reasonably priced. Mild seasoned chicken flavour that pairs nicely with just about anything main entrée. I personally prefer the “ Beef “ flavour because it’s a little bit stronger flavour profile, but this one is great for those “ chicken “ fans out there. Add chunks of precooked frozen chicken meat ( available in most all supermarkets frozen food aisle ) to make it a main course ! I add ground cracked black pepper to boast the flavour. I also add dried parsley and chives for colour. I can highly recommend this product !

Super easy to make and a great side to a dinner!

Ihad some of this last night and now it's makin my stomach hurt could barley feel my bones and I'm vomiting and have diarrhea.

After I was able to finally find the chicken flavor of Rice-a-Roni, I was very disappointed in the flavor and color. It tastes bland and looks bland also. I gave it a 2nd try, but with the same results. I will be returning to the store-brand version from now on.

What’s to dislike, it’s delicious!

My family absolutely loves this as a side dish. It is so tasty and so easy to make. The only other ingredients you need in addition to what’s included in this box, is 2 tablespoons butter or margarine, and 2 1/2 cups of water. It is so easy to make this into a meal, simply by adding chicken breast or broccoli to it. Granted, this isn’t the healthiest of side dishes, but it is a scrumptious one. FYI, this contains soy and wheat ingredients if you were trying to avoid them.

Is it just me or is 2.5 cups of water way too much. We love this product but don't have it often. I never had an end result that was so mushy/watery.

I used to make this all the time about 5 years ago. I recently purchased again. I made it exactly as I had so many times before with cubed chicken and broccoli. It doesn't look the same, smell the same, feel the same and most definitely does not taste the same. it's super bland now. Why did it change? I was so disappointed because I used to love making this one pan dish. You should be ashamed for drastically changing a product that's recipe has went untouched for literally decades. My mom used to make it when I was a kid and it tasted the same for me as an adult....until now. :(
