Currently we use the decaffeinating agent methylene chloride in our process, which has been approved for use in coffee decaffeination by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

A: Methylene chloride is the active ingredient in paint thinner. Although it is passed through the American FDA I would think twice about drinking it. It is banned in most countries.
