Exactly what we needed
This rug pad is exactly what we needed. Keep in mind it says it fits up to 8’ runners but it is not even 7’ long. It provides the perfect amount of cushion under our runner. Some reviewers complained about the smell but we left it outside to air out overnight and the smell was 99% gone which is fine with me.

Does its job, but smells awful
Provides good padding under rug and prevents rug from slipping, but the chemical off-gassing is very high initially and gave us all headaches until we moved them to the garage temporarily. Would suggest opening them in a garage or other unused area to off-gas prior to installing in your home.

Not 2' x 8'
Need a rug pad for a 3 x 8 foot runner. This was the only option in store, besides grip tape (which wasn't effective.) While it states the 'actual size" on the wrapper this was grabbed quickly and not noticed. Diasspointed that it is only 20 inches wide. It has an overpowering chemical smell. While it is thick and cushy, it makes a Nuloom thin runner feel uneven under foot. Would not purchase this again it's overpriced for the size.

Too Thick , trip on rug
Pad too thick especially for a runner. Makes runner uneven and a person can easily trip or twist an ankle.

Hello JALH! We are so sorry to hear about your experience with this product. Rug pads should be smaller than your area rug size by at least 1-2 inches on each side. This allows the rug to lay flat on the ground preventing a tripping hazard. Most area rug pads can be trimmed down to size using scissors.
