Q: how long does a 2oz bottle use for use twice a week?

A: Thank you for your question. How long the tube lasts will depend on how much is used per application. For example, more will be used if it's applied to the chin, jaw, and cheeks versus if it's applied to just the chin. Irritation or allergic reaction may occur with some people, even after prior use without adverse effect. Therefore, a patch test should be performed before each use by applying product on a small part of the area where hair is to be removed. Follow directions and wait 24 hours. If skin appears normal, proceed with full application.

This wasn't capable of dissolving darker/coarse facial hair but worked just fine on lighter hair. I wouldn't bother though, I'd try a more highly rated and priced product over this next time. Thankfully I didn't get a rash either, it burns the tiniest bit but didn't leave skin irritation.

Since I was 16 I’ve tried every available method to remove my facial hair (I am 69 now), from a razor, electrolysis, and laser, with razor being the daily predominant method. 5 years ago I stopped using the razor, and started tweezing daily (every time I looked in the mirror), and then combined tweezing with the face cream. It didn’t remove all the hair, and you need to wait 72 hours to use the product again. Hence, more daily tweezing. Plus, the older the container became, the less effective and dense the product became. Currently I am using this product, wax strips, and a tweezer, with continued frustrated results.

I used this as directed and immediately felt a strong burning sensation. After rinsing it off, my skin was left red, stinging, and bumpy—it looked and felt like a chemical burn. I don’t consider my skin overly sensitive, but this product was way too harsh. Definitely not gentle enough for the face. I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone, especially if you have even mildly sensitive skin.

I bought this product two weeks ago. I followed the instructions exactly as printed - I tested a small area on my cheek first and did not have any negative reactions, so I used it on both cheeks. I set a timer for 5 minutes and immediately washed the Nair hair removal cream off. I noticed when I washed it off that my cheeks were burning. The burning didn’t stop and I went to bed with a cold clean washcloth over my face. The next morning, my face had burns that were VERY painful. I also noticed significant numbing on parts of my face (lasted 3 days). Next, the burned areas formed into a lot of tiny blisters. I am now at day 7 of healing from the burns (got a prescription for Hydrocortisone and have been using it three times a day). The blisters have popped and are now “pimple-looking speckles/bleedy” spots on both cheeks. I don’t have skin reactions to products typically, so this experience was/is not normal for me. I am now waiting to go to doctor #2 (dermatologist) to prevent my cheeks for scarring. I have had so many coworkers ask what is wrong with my face - I feel like a “monster” (sad emoji)

gave me one of the worst burns ever. skin now messed up. insane how a FACE hair removal product would even be made strong enough to potentially cause chemical burns. do not use it.

I left the cream on for a minimal amount of time. I will say I didn't test on a small spot on my face prior to use. I've used nair products before with out issue and assumed this would be fine. It ended up burning my face and the hair was still there. I would have been less annoyed about the burn if the hair was gone. So part of this was my mistake for not testing on my face prior to use but this didn't work regardless.

I would give zero stars if I could! I tried this for the very first time tonight. Followed the directions to a T. Removed make up. Left on for a few minutes. Then removed spot to test. My face was burned!! Literally melted the skin right off my face! Now I’m stuck going in public like this! It’s painful and embarrassing! Please please please DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT!!

Had to counter the negative reviews (which are like bicycle reviews by first-time riders: “It tipped over when I put my feet onto the pedals, doesn’t move and I scraped my knee!”) Expect you’ll need to experiment a few times at first. Cheek/side of face is more sensitive than upper lip - I only do upper lip, but the few times I see temporary redness, it’s at the edges nearest the cheeks (cheek people may prefer the peach fuzz roll-on, I suspect). Start out with no more than 3 minutes on upper lip (and no more than 2 on cheeks, if you’re doing that!). I wipe off with paper towel so I can toss in trash rather than send it down the drain, then rinse the area with cold water. If no hair is removed - congratulations, that means you didn’t go too long, that’s a good thing! Assuming you didn’t see damage, in a few days try again but add half a minute or a minute to your time. When I was young and my hair was softer, I only needed 4 minutes once a week. As I got older, I increased first to 5 minutes, eventually to 6. Now that I’m post-menopausal and the hair is stiffer and grows faster, I’m going all the way up to 8 minutes twice a week. (After a while you can notice the tell-tale signs when it’s starting to burn and needs to come off, but I always use a timer.) I’m finding in my post-menopausal days that sometimes one application doesn’t seem to work at all, but rest assured it’s weakening things and if I go again the next day, it all comes off. I love this stuff, am always worried it may not be available someday!

Terrible! I didn’t make it 4 minutes before my skin bubbled and wounded! I’m praying that when the morning comes it’s not as bad as it feels. The “burns” were literally weeping moments after removing the cream. I applied the cream the eyebrows before applying to my upper lip, leaving the cream on my brows for a total of 6 minutes. It removed NO hair from my brow area but did not leave burns in that area. If I had to describe what it did to my eyebrows i would say it essentially permed them.
