Q: does this water pic have the proposition 65

submitted by Frank - 6 years ago
  • A: I believe it is probably because Waterpiks, as well as other such devices, can develop mold inside of the wand devices.

    submitted byTechnogeek864 - 4 years ago
  • A: Waterpik recently completed testing of our water flosser products for compliance with the California Proposition 65 law. Test results indicate no chemicals on the Proposition 65 list were detected or exceeded the Safe Harbor Limit; therefore, the Proposition 65 labeling has since been removed from our Oral Care products.

Q: What are the pros and cons of having a water reservoir instead of just a flosser?

submitted by e - 6 years ago
  • A: Less time refilling, better flow for flossing session Just dry it well and shake water out of the pieces

submitted byCooking Mama - 2 years ago
  • A: The only con I've noticed is that it is too loud.

submitted bySJ - 6 years ago
  • A: The Waterpik Water Flosser has been around since 1962 and is designed to take the place of traditional string floss and has actually been clinically proven to be up to 50% more effective than traditional string floss for improving gum health. You can read the clinical research here: https://www.waterpik.com/oral-health/clinical-research/ In addition, we have been awarded the American Dental Assoiciation's prestigious Seal of Acceptance for its efficacy and safety. Q: Is the resivoir easy to remove, to pour out the liquid, and to clean?

submitted by Dee - 9 years ago
  • A: For longer life out of your Water Flosser, don't allow the reservoir to run completely dry when using. When the water pressure begins to decrease as the water level drops (you'll hear a change in sound), turn the unit off. It'll keep the pump from running dry.

submitted byno name selected - 9 years ago
  • A: Yes it is very easy to remove. Pulls right off for easy filling, emptying, and cleaning.

submitted bymoosecat - 9 years ago
  • A: Yes! I dry it on a clean wash rag in my bathroom window for next time

submitted byCooking Mama - 2 years ago

Q: Could I put mouthwash in this product?

submitted by Brittani Beksha - 9 years ago
  • A: sure can! I use a mix of 50/50 mouthwash and peroxide and fill the contained with a little water. works perfectly.

submitted byOutForDelivery - 9 years ago
  • A: We put mouthwash in ours often, and always run a bit of water through it after use. No problems so far after over a year!

submitted bymoosecat - 9 years ago
  • A: Does this water flosser last longer?

    submitted byNyla M - 4 months ago

Q: Is the top to store additional (wet) waterpik tips? I can't see vents in the cover compartment to dry the the tips between uses nor a vent to air the reservoir which could lead to mold issues.

submitted by Linda - 2 years ago
  • A: Thank you. Between the standard cleaning, are there vents on the top to help dry the tips between uses?

submitted byLinda - 2 years ago
  • A: Hello Linda - The lid is there to cover the reservoir and store you're most used Jet Tips. We recommend cleaning your water flosser and accessories regularly to prevent any buildup. Here is a link to our cleaning blog for detailed cleaning information. https://www.waterpik.com/product-support/articles/how-to-clean-waterpik-water-flosser-vinegar/

  • A: Question was asked in 2020. In December 2024, the description is still incorrect. I almost didn't buy it because of the incorrect description and wouldn't have known it's actually electric with a cord and plug if I didn't read the Q&A.

Target delivery drivers left my package in an unsecured entryway - again. There are signs on the door with instructions for leaving pacakages in the secure mailroom. I have also updated my delivery instructions to indicate this. The packages could have been taken by anyone and my name and address were avaialbe for anyone to see. Target is obviously focused on metrics and NOT on customer service. Target used to be better than this.

Makes my teeth and gums sensitive

After using it for a couple of weeks, I've noticed it causes my teeth and gums to become sensitive even with low pressure, so I don't use it every day. I use it twice a week, and the rest are regular dental floss. Overall, it's a great product concept.

Poor design. Very difficult to fill with water.

Poor design. Difficult to use. I enjoyed my previous WaterPik Flosser for many years until it finally broke. I tried to replace it with the Ultra model, but after attempting to do the most basic function -- filling it with water -- I decided to return it. Normally I would simply flip open the top and fill the tank. However on the misguided design, I can't simply flip open the top. I have to forcibly wrestle the top off of the tank without the help of any handles or other features. This is unfortunately a poor design without consideration for ergonomics or the user experience. I do not recommend it.

best water pik that I've used. Teeth feel really clean after use and I would not return to any other water pik. Various speeds don't hurt either as you should probably start low and then work your way up and trust me on that.

I have always liked using the Water Pik. It's a must have in my oral hygiene routine. They don't last forever, but if I can get 5-7 years out of one, I am fine with replacing it. I get my money's worth!

    Not impressed with the quality

I’ve had this for three weeks and already the seal at the bottom of the reservoir leaks when I go to refill it. It looks clean and I empty the reservoir after each use. In order to stop the water from pouring out, I need to push down on the seal each time. I’m going to contact customer support to see if this is covered.

Hello JollyRaider- We're sorry to hear about the leak. The unit isn't designed to hold water, so leaving it inside after flossing can cause it to leak. If you're facing a different issue, please let us know by calling 1-800-525-2774 or emailing smreviews@waterpik.com. Thank you.

    Test proves Waterpik works

I did a test. I string flossed my teeth then brushed them thoroughly, thinking all junk was removed. Then I used the waterpik. There were many black specs in the white sink bowl. Obviously, waterpik cleaned what I missed using the other two techniques.

Hello Mst Sadia - We’re sorry to hear you’re experiencing this issue. From what you’ve described, the jet tip may be clogged. Try soaking it in distilled white vinegar for 10–15 minutes to help clear any buildup. If that doesn’t resolve the problem, it might simply be time to replace the tip -these typically need to be changed every three to six months. If the issue persists, please reach out so we can help. You can email us at smreviews@waterpik.com or call 1‑800‑525‑2774, Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. Mountain Time.

    Awesome water flosser

I was given a WaterPik two week after my dental implant surgery, which the device worked really well. Now, I had to replace the previous WaterPik because it stopped working and no longer under warranty. I purchased this new Ultra model, which proven to be the same excellent quality product as my last one. However, the Ultra has more control setting as well as a array of different dental flossing tips thus making it more of convenience to adjust the needs of the user.
