Love these reusable zip lock bags! We've been using them for about a week now and I couldn't be happier. We have even washed them in the dishwasher with no issues. I will make mention that I make sure not to let the bags touch anything else in the dish washer and put them in the top rack. So far these have held up really well!

A little pricey upfront, but no doubt the best reusable sandwich bags out there!

I was given a sample of this product to review online. I used them to store food in both the freezer and refrigerator. The bags kept the food fresh and tightly sealed without freezer burn. I did not have any problems with leaking or making sure the food was properly sealed. I like the fact that these help reduce plastic waste. The bags are easy to wash (hand wash only), however, difficult to air dry, as you have to keep them propped open to allow moisture to evaporate.

I’ve been using the Blue Avocado set of 4 reusable storage bags for a little over a month and am glad to have them as part of my storage supplies. Of the three sizes in the kit, I use the lunch bags and snack bag the most. The lunch bags work well for adult or big kid sandwiches, sliced fruit or vegetables and the snack bag is great for smaller size lunches (half sandwiches) or smaller portions of fruits and vegetables for younger children. The seals are tight and the food I pack in them stays fresh. I haven’t tried putting anything in them that could leak, but from what I can tell, it wouldn’t be an issue. The thickness of the bags is a little heavy for more delicate foods, like ripe strawberries, and because the bags are flat (no bottom pleating) the weight of the plastic after being sealed can mush things. The bags are opaque, so it’s not always obvious what’s in them, especially if you use them to store dry goods, so I use a piece of masking tape to label the contents. It’s also a little tricky to get the bags clean and dry after using them. I rinse mine with dish soap and then turn them inside out, so they stand up and dry overnight. In the past, I’ve gone through box after box of disposable plastic bags packing meals for my family of six, and these bags have eliminated that need. I like that they’re a safe (BPA-free), environmentally friendly alternative to plastic bags and that they store most foods well. I was given a set of Blue Avocado (re)zip bags as a free sample for the purpose of this review, but I have since bought more of my own.

I received a sample of this product as a trial to review, and I absolutely love it! It is strong, durable, flexible, and the zipper holds extremely well, which I didn't expect. It is made out of a silicone-type material that makes it nice for warm objects that I put in the bag. It is BPA, Lead, and PVC free, which puts my mind at ease for my children's sake. I stored some frozen mango in them and when I defrosted them, they became rather juicy, but the bag did not leak! They stay strong use after use, wash after wash. They hold just as much, if not more, than the ordinary zip top bag. They are wonderful! The only thing I would like differently is an option to buy some kind of drying rack specifically for them. I would recommend them to everyone.

after receiving the (re)zip seal kit lunch for free to test I checked the regular price to see if I thought it would be worth it. To be honest I believe it is. These bags are so durable. For example, my almost six year old was rummaging through the fridge and down plopped -in slow motion I'm sure- the homemade tomato sauce from the night before. I swore it would explode all over the kitchen -as an ordinary plastic bag,or a jar would have, but it held tight I couldn't believe it! I was impressed. It was also easy to clean. I don't have a dishwasher so I'm not sure how it handles in the dishwasher, but it is great with hand washing. I will say that if you freeze the bags you need to wait before opening because they won't open right away. Even unfrozen they can be tricky at times and need to be worked just right. I also like that they come in a variety of sizes. Overall I would say these are great.

I was pleasantly surprised at the durability of the bags in this lunch kit. After receiving a complimentary sample, I used them for washed fruit, stored homemade salsa, and let my daughter open one countless times to store her crayons. These bags contained everything without a drip and never lost the seal. The texture is so much stronger than your average plastic bag; I will definitely purchase more for the school year.

We used these throughout the 2014/2015 school year. My year-old bags are still in great shape and I am adding to our stock for next year. We used to go through countless ziplock baggies every week, which we've been able to cut down considerably through these truly re-usable, washable bags. Great for packing too.
