Nipple Flow Scale was designed by a moron.
Whatever clown thought going from a 1 to a 2 should be a 70% flow differential is an idiot. But at this point you’ve already bought all these garbage bottles that were no better than any others.

These nipples worked great for my premature daughter who was born 6 weeks earlier. The other size nipples were too fast for her. She is now almost 4 month ms and we are still using these nipples. The flow is perfect for preemie babies. The nipples are still holding up after almost 4months.

Disappointing quality
They became deformed after sanitizing. I would have expected them to withstand high temperatures better. They also often leaked for us when using, even when the bottle was assembled tightly. The only plus side is the slower flow, but we ended up just going with Advent instead.

Better and slower flow than "1" nipple but still a little too fast
This should be the starter nipple that comes with the small bottles for newborns, not the “1” nipple. However, I strongly believe the flow is still too fast and it should not be marketed for Preemies. My newborn chokes on this flow rate.

Good for newborn
I bought these premie/newborn nipples for my newborn baby born at 37weeks after using the flow 1 that comes with the bottles- that flow was too much and leaked. I switched to these and they are much better. No problems at all with the flow or leaks. I have bought them here and some at amazon- some nipples are clear some are cloudy- none the less I am so glad I found these, baby eats much better now.

Newborn Size
We used Dr. Brown bottles but our lactation consultant make sure we purchased a smaller nipple size for the baby. Size 1 was drowning my baby and these helped create a better flow. Buy these from the start and ignore the age recommendations they provide because they are inaccurate.
