Let me start off with - I from New Orleans and likewise have had lots of red beans in my life. I added these to the crock pot with andouille, 3 chicken bouillon cubes, 3 beef bouillon cubes and 9 cups of water. Probably the best red beans I’ve ever had!

Takes the guessing out of seasoning beans
I found this next to the creamy Blue Runner red beans. Thought I would try it after looking at the reviews. Pleasantly surprised. Although I wrongly assumed it would be a quicker cooking process, they were worth the wait. You could them just like a regular bag of beans, but the seasoning is already measured out. No guessing and testing. Typically we make them creamy by mashing some against the side and blending, but I left them soupy and didn’t use rice. Added Turkey sausage. Will buy again. If you have salt issues the are a bit salty without added rice but we loved them

So easy & tasty...N'awlins-style!
Such an easy and tasty week night meal! I do mine in the crock pot, so we come home to a delicious-smelling and delightfully simple dinner. Our 3 boys love it as does my husband. I've added diced ham, smoked chicken, and andouille sausage (and some petite sweet peppers that I had in the fridge). We love visiting New Orleans (Seattle is home), so I'm so glad I can get this mix online for a great price. You can only bring home so many bean packages per trip. Highly recommend.
