Only touches top layer of hair

Sits on top of hair, can't get to lower layers. The bristles are so close together it's like running a flat surface over your hair. Might work if you have a buzz cut, probably won't otherwise.

I wouldn't have bought this if I was shopping in store, and not online. It's big and clumsy, the bristles are crazy soft so it really doesn't brush at all. It makes my daughter's hair really full of static. I would not recommend.

I got this going to find a soft, natural bristled brush similar to my husband's beard brush. This brush was no where near as soft and introduced a lot of static to my hair. The bristles definitely seem like a plastic even though it's advertised as boar's bristle.
