Q: What makes it stick? Is it a suction cup or a sticky adhesive?

A: It is both. There is a locking piece that works as a suction, along with a very sticky pad. I have used mine for a couple years in my car and love it.

This is my second one, first one got cooked in a heat wave, my favorite mount. Easy to set up and my phone stays secure. Maybe take it out of your car during a heat wave (the first one was also around 4+ years old.

There are no instructions provided. The sticky ring provided did not adhere to my dash. I had to buy 2-sided sticking squares to adhere it. The phone tilts down and in. I do not like this at all.

Idk, If you're an Uber driver, or someone without CarPlay - I guess this makes sense? It won't stick to my dash or windshield, and having it at my desk is kind of overkill, for me personally. It's a car mount 🤷🏽♀️ that's all I really have to say.

Bought this for my 2024 Ford Expedition Timberline. It’s so big, it doesn’t fit anywhere on my dash or console area. Windshield mounting doesn’t work for me. I don’t want it restricting my view as I drive. Pretty disappointed they wouldn’t let me return it. I’ve been a pop socket customer for years.

I like that i can use this at home. It works good even for my heavy Ultra 23. It gives you the option to put it in the car as well. I haven't tried that as of yet. I like it!!

Tried to install it like 5 times and each time the adhesive would lift up and drop my phone (iPhone pro max) can’t hold the weight and the tape is trash

I brought this because I spend a ton of time in my car for work. It was great for two weeks and now I can put my phone in it. The bracket is unstable and my phone spins. I wanted to live this but it is just sitting on my dashboard now.

I've now purchased 2 of these from the PopSocket website and BOTH have broken in under 6 months of use. I have a Galaxy S24 Ultra, and while it's a pretty heavy/large phone, I wouldn't say it's any more so than most these days. This thing has actually separated from the base where you can see the spring hanging out, so it's not as if the adhesive just failed. In addition, one of them broke at the base of the big loop that you can bend around - it stopped holding weight and would just flop around. It's frustrating because having the PopSocket makes it difficult to use other phone mounts (since it has that extra bulk on the back) and yet the one specifically made for it isn't reliable either. It was nice when it did work, I guess.

I wanted this to work out but the adhesive did not hold at all. I followed the instructions to mount it on my dashboard but it was unable to hold my iphone 14plus. I tried putting it on the windshield and had the same problem. I ended up finding a different one elsewhere that worked better.
My phone won't stay in the dang thing!

The part that the pop socket actually slips into is too flexible. It turns upside down, and my phone just falls out of it. There should be a way to lock it.
