Q: The instructions say that the Wall Cups must be actually screwed into the walls and/or baseboards. I bought this "pressure mount" gate to avoid the hardware mount to my walls. Advice?

  • A: Hello, The manual states " Intallation using only the adhesive on the wall cups is only recommended for the following situations: On painted door frames and on painted wood framed opening." In the following situations the adhesive wall cups must also be installed using the included screws: Painted and smooth drywall, on wall paper, on uneven surfaces, on surfaces with flaking paint, on oiled wood surfaces and anytime you are unsure.
