When I was expecting, I surveyed everyone I knew with kids about whether or not to buy a Diaper Genie. I heard totally mixed reviews. I went ahead with purchasing one and am so glad I did. These bags really do contain the odor and the receptacle works as promised -- allowing you to toss diapers easily by using a foot pedal. Cons: The Genie does not hold the number of diapers it says (not even the newborn size). I found it necessary to empty every other day. The cutter inside the Genie fills up with tiny bits of these bags, so it's necessary to clear it once in a while. You may not realize until the cutter seems to stop working. Tiny bits of blue bag wind up on the floor under and around the Genie. So there is somewhat frequent clean-up. The refills are kind of expensive. Having said all of that, I absolutely needed and relied on our Diaper Genie. My child recently became potty-trained. Yay!

I have tried every comparable brand and I am going to be honest with everyone reading, NOTHING ELSE HOLDS THE SMELL! You can find slightly cheaper products or ones that hold slightly more diapers, but they will fee thinner despite the advertising and they will not hold the smell anywhere close to this name brand. Every time I open my diaper genie to drop off another dirty diaper and another product is there, it feels like the odor channels the spirit of Mike Tyson to deliver a knockout blow. This product seals the stench perfectly! Other competitors are about as effective as that piece of gum you stick in your mouth after you realized that you forgot to brush your teeth.

I did not use it yet however my family and friends love this product!

This in combo with the pail system is working really well to contain those smelly diapers my toddler grandson creates!

Works great but store brand holds more diapers

bought the 3 pack on sale and it was a steal! perfect time to stock up. I've tried the other brands for refills and they don't compare.

This is the only brand for my genie. I bought off brand that was cheaper and boy was it cheaper. Something’s you just have to pay the full price and this is one of them

I recently bought the store brand and you can see the difference. This is darker, thicker and strong. The odor is not as noticeable as this brand.

All I want is for a bag to hold the smell in for short periods of time. I assumed these would be best since they’re the name brand, but even one dirty diaper in it stinks up the entire room immediately. I have had much cheaper ones that aren’t this bad.

We got the Diaper Genie trash can for the baby shower and it came with 1 roll of these. After we ran out, i was trying to be cheap by using our already-purchased regular trash bags that we have here in bulk quantity, but those did not keep the smell out, so i went back to buy these bags. Because we have a newborn and she poops SEVERAL times per day and you need somewhere to throw all those smelly diapers so that you can diaper pail and these bags have worked for us. And YES these will rip too if you're not gentle with pulling them out.

What a life saver. The fact that my baby poops like there is no tomorrow LOL imagine having to change the bag of a regular bathroom trash after throwing 4 diapers. Definitely recommend it.

I have bought 2 others brands because If the price but they do not compare to this one . I will not look for others because this brand is the one who holds the best and keeps odor away.

I love how long a single bag last.. but… when you reach the end of the bag it lets you know when you reach the black line. This would be helpful if some of the bags wouldn’t start with the black line at the start
