Songs are not the originals
Got this for part of my son’s birthday gift and unfortunately it wasn’t what we expected. The songs are not from the original artists. It’s very deceiving since it’s a Lion King tonie. Other tonies are the original songs. A four year old knows the difference. We would return if we could.

Don’t love that my 3 year old now says “give me one good reason why I shouldn’t rip you apart” these tonies and movies say stuff like that

Subpar Lion King
Songs sound tragically different than the original. It's essential a 2 dollar injection molded figure with a NFC chip in it that gives access to a few cover songs it downloads from the cloud. Great idea for a product, poor value for the user, great way to generate profit though. 2 ot of 10 for customer value, 10 out of 10 for generating profits.

Beware - not original soundtrack
So upsetting that this isn’t the original soundtrack. This was a Christmas gift for my kids who LOVE the Lion King soundtrack and this isn’t remotely close. This doesn’t feel like a legitimate Disney purchase, wish I could return it :(

Not Original Soundtrack
Unfortunately the audio is not from the original soundtrack, so any parents from the 90s will be disappointed. My 3 year old wasn't phased though!

NOT the original soundtrack version!
My daughter begged for this tonie because she loves the lion king (original version, the CGI remake is "scary"). I assumed based on the figure being the cartoon simba that the songs would also be the original version. They are not. My daughter hates this, and there is no alterative version which uses the original voice cast. The remake voice cast are nowhere near as good, either. It's very jarring.

Disappointing
The voices in both the songs and the story are not the same as the movie. Noticeable right away. Pretty disappointing. The story just doesn’t sound right when it’s other characters. Doesn’t seem Disney at all.
