The Graco SlimFit3 LX 3-in-1 Car Seat is our slimmest design that fits 3 car seats across, saving space in your back seat without compromising on the safety you trust and the features you need. This narrow all-in-one car seat grows with your child from rear-facing harness (5-40 lb) to forward-facing harness (26.5-65 lb) to highback booster (40-100 lb). We tested our lightweight 3-across car seat in every configuration, to help ensure your growing family can fit in your vehicle, even with children of different ages who ride in different modes, or when paired with select other Graco car seats. Integrated belt lock-off makes for easy vehicle seat belt installation in forward-facing mode, and allows you to position your seats to maximize space with 3 across. Graco’s exclusive push-button InRight LATCH provides an easy, one-second attachment with an audible click to help ensure secure installation. We made thoughtful design choices to make the SlimFit3 easy to adjust with 3 car seats in the back seat. The No-Rethread Simply Safe Adjust Harness System allows you to adjust the height of the headrest and harness to 10 positions with just one motion for just the right fit. Easily adjust the 4-position recline for a better installation and a comfortable ride. The Rapid Remove cover comes off in 60 seconds, without uninstalling the seat or removing the harness, and is machine washable. Plus, the SlimFit3 is slim enough to fit 3 across, but spacious enough to keep your growing child comfy. Breathable mesh AirFlow channels provide improved ventilation to keep your child cool and comfortable. Two cup holders are designed to work with the three-across configuration to keep drinks and snacks close at hand.   • A: I think the biggest thing is the newer version (LX) is updated to meet the new federal standards that are coming into effect in June 2025. If you look at the rear facing weight requirements, the LX requires rear facing until 26.5lbs whereas the plain slim fit is a lower weight. Side impact standards are also updated. Most old car seats not updated are still safe to use, but they won’t have the updated safety features. Hope this helps!

Q: Does this meet the new claim of side-Impact Tested to FMVSS 213a? I know this test doesn’t get enforced until June 30, 2025 but I want to get ahead.

  • A: I believe it does! If you look at the weight requirements for rear facing, it’s updated with the 26.5lb requirement for being flipped forward facing. The older plan slim fit model is not.

Best car seat for multiples

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have 4 kids (11,4,3, and 1) when our 3rd baby was born we struggled finding a carseats that would fit in the back of our sentra. We could fit 2 but then our bigger kid was squished. Then we found these. We started with just one then ended up buying our 3rd last year when our youngest was born. They all 3 fit in the car and are easy to install. They are also easy to take apart to clean and button back together like a charm. Anytime we need to adjust straps we can do it with them in the seat in like 5 seconds. We will never buy a different carseat these are the best!

Love this seat

We love that the cup holders don’t come completely off so we can’t lose them. Straps are comfortable and safe. My only complaint is that the purple color shows every single stain and is impossible to keep clean.

Perfect Car seat for Grandma

I am a grandma and purchased this car seat to be able to transport my grandchild as needed. It is extremely easy to install and remove from my vehicle. My grandchild seems to be very comfortable in the seat and I have no safety concerns.

If you’re like me and doing so much research and measuring and being scared if they’ll actually fit in your car. I will let you know that 3 across fit perfectly in a 2018 Honda Civic and also a 2022 Toyota RAV4. Currently have two forward facing and one rear, but any configuration would work! Also took my husband hardly any time to get 6 installed

Easy and basic!

One complaint I have is the size of the cup holders, they are too small for some of the water bottles I have. This is the first seat I have had this issue with. Other than that, I would say it is a decent seat overall.

Great size for small SUV
