This is my first Garmin watch ever and I am 38 years old. I love to run distance and will test it out for the first time at the Twin Cites Marathon next week. I do like how simple it is, yet I do not have a smart phone and wish it would pair with my laptop like it would with a phone. I also wish that it would be more independent from having to sync. All in all, it is a great watch and helps with training.
As a new runner this is perfect for me.

The watch wrist band is a bit too small. Could be bigger. Next time I will make sure before I purchase.

Garmin is awesome. I Had forerunner 55 for running that had software and battery issues after a few years and Garmin support was helpful in recognizing that so I was sent a refurbished replacement which had more features than my original one! Love the run workout suggestions so far.
Amazing watch. Would pick over anything.

Hello, I would just like to say that you wanna watch is one of the best watches I’ve ever tried out and I have tried several different brands and it helps me keep track of all the stats that I keep track of for my running channel on TikTok. I would just like to thank you for a simple and elegant watch that does everything I needed to do.

I’m returning the 55 because I hate the garmin connection app. The app operates like something from the early 2000s.

Replacing Fitbit, getting used to

I've always been a fan of Fitbit but after Google bought it and changed things, I swore I wouldn't buy another once my current one died. I tried a Garmin once and fought it every step of the way, preferring the Fitbit app and functionality. However, I bit the bullet and went Garmin again out of principal. Things have changed a lot since the last time I tried one and I like it much better this time around. I like the "Battery" charging instead of Sleep Score. This one is not a touch screen, it has buttons to click and I'm getting used to that after having a touch screen watch. The band is very feather light. Overall, I think I'm going to like this watch.

I bought this watch as a beginner runner and I am so grateful that I did. I am currently training for my first 1/2 marathon and it has been so helpful. I just wanted a basic watch that could accurately track my running and lifting workouts. My favorite feature is that it can also track treadmill running accurately.

This was a great starter watch as I trained for my first half marathon. Now that I am running daily I needed to upgrade but for the price point this is the best! Its world's better than apple

I have been a Fitbit customer for over 10 years but needed a replacement and decided on this watch. I am not a runner but enjoy tracking my walks and other activities. This watch is easy to use, has a great battery life and is comfortable to wear. Who knows I may even take up running! Great features and excellent quality!

Needs to be recharged every night. Will not pair/sync with my iPhone. Just a watch. I can’t get messages, track, my running, count the steps. Figure out how fast I’m running… It’s basically just a watch.

I like that I can see the dial without having to be in the dark. I don't find it easy to choose an activity and I know it's made for runners but I wish it had hiking, Pilates to choose from.
Lots of features

I’ve only had the watch for a couple of weeks but I like it. I had the forerunner 35 previously and loved the simplicity of all. But this watch does have a ton more features. For example it gives me a planned workout when I want to run. It only takes a couple of buttons hit and it’s ready to do whatever. The battery lasts forever which nice. The alarm clock has a snooze. I’m sure there are lots more features but they are the ones that stand out in my head. One more thing that’s a bit different. When I first got the watch the band kept backing out of the watch band holder. It didn’t seem to stay very long no matter how tight I made it. I ended up reversing the band. It is a bit harder to put it on myself but it doesn’t come out of the holder.
