Ruined a good product
I hate this product! I used the former cream Hot Toddy for years and loved it. It was easy to apply, worked well, and the tube was convenient for travel. This new formulation and spray/mist applicator is hard to control, sprays everywhere in the bathroom and the air, and is a heavy container for travel. In addition, my husband complains that he still smells it in the bathroom and on my hair 24 hours later. It doesn’t even seem to protect my hair as well as its predecessor. I spent a lot for this can so I’ll probably use it up if I can keep from breathing it in, but I am now looking for another brand of heat protector. I’m done with Dry Bar.

I use this before I flat iron my bangs. spray it on a minute or 2 before I use the iron so it's dry so my hair doesn't steam lol I've been using it for a while and I like it. works well too if I'm using a curling iron or waver. a little goes a long way.

Awful smell
As a product that is advertised as "unscented", you would expect no scent right? Wrong, apparently. As someone who has chronic migraines that can be triggered by heavily scented things, I have to buy non-scented products. This dry shampoo smells heavily of coconut, which triggers my migraines. I also just generally hate the smell of coconut. If this doesnt bother you, buy it I guess. Just know you'll smell like sunscreen all day.

As a pro stylist I have no problem getting on my knees and begging everyone of u to NOT use this!! Me and my salon coworker got together to test the bestselling heat protecting sprays and hot toddy was the worst and literally BURNF OFF the q tip, use the living proof one instead.
