It's not awful
I went with the 12lb thinking it was a good starting weight. But man, does this make my back hurt after wearing it. I am a regular lifter and walker. There is nothing wrong wtih the vest itself. I haven't had any issues with it leaking or tearing. I've adjusted it as much as it will let me but after wearing it for more than 15 minutes, I get pain in the middle of my shoulder blades. I had hoped that it would get better over time but nope. And I'm past the return window. I can't say that I don't recommend it but I can't say that I do either. Try it out, give it your best effort but if your back is achey for days after, return it before the window closes.
