Yours Truly - (Part of Your World) by Abby Jimenez (Paperback)

This book was probably my favorite Abby Jimenez book yet!! So good!!

Cute romance with a little twist and turn. I mean who says that mixed signals, love, hate, heartbreak and lust can’t be alluring (given it’s what today’s dating scene gives us too!) had similarities to book one of the series but nonetheless a good quick read.

A quick google search shows this book is highly rated, I don’t normally read book reviews so I just thought, why not. It’s not terrible, it’s also not good. Hence the meh. If you’re interested, by all means check it out. It’s an easy, quickish read. There were parts that made me giggle and brought tears to my eyes but overall a third of the book could have been taken out. I don’t mind cheesy or predictable, but it got to a point I was like cmonnn. I appreciated the main character being of a Hispanic origin, the highlight on mental health and organ donation. Would have been better with a bit more smut. Again, if you’re curious go ahead, but I wouldn’t recommend, ended up donating my book.

I love Abby. She’s the GOAT of these books. Much prefer her over Emily Henry.

Overall a good read. I just finished reading “Just For The Summer,” & it’s also a 4 star book for me. I like Abby as an author but when I compare her books to others I’ve read they’re not my absolute favorite.

Anyone who has dealt with social anxiety, you will connect with Jacob. And you will feel seen by Briana. I love this book and this romance!

Love the book itself. Dislike that it’s not the same size as the other two in the series.

Loved it, it was so refreshing to see the male character struggle with anxiety and still have such a great romance storyline.

Took me a while I took breaks in between so that’s why I gave it 4 instead of 5 because usually I don’t want to put the book down but I still enjoyed the read!

An emotional story about two people who have been hurt in their past relationships & are now learning to love again. It also touches on anxiety, trauma, & kidney failure. I loved Briana & Jacob! As someone who struggles with extreme social anxiety, I related to Jacob so much. The author depicted the mental health aspects in this book so well, this is one of the best representations of social anxiety I've ever read! When Jacob would go into a spiral of overthinking, as someone who struggles every second of every day- I felt that to my core! Jacob was the sweetest, shyest, most awkward, & anxiety-ridden golden retriever hero. Everything he did for Briana was so swoon-worthy. Protect him at all costs. The 1st 3/4 of the book was AMAZING, & the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because the miscommunication really drug on & got a little repetitive! But overall it was a good rom-com that literally had me laughing out loud at times, & swooning until I melted into a puddle! I loved it & Jacob's family!

Yours Truly is nothing short of a masterpiece. It’s emotional, intense, sweet, and wonderful. At times, would it have helped if Jacob and Briana just talked to each other instead of making assumptions? Yes. Was I totally fine with them not doing so because it prolonged the story that I wasn’t ready to end? YES. I’d absolutely give it more than 5 stars if that were possible.
