Threw it away

I tried to like this rug, but in the end, I just threw it away. It smells, it sheds (the word "shedding" does not describe it, fluff flies all over the apartment if you try to use it), and it is very coarse and bumpy. It should not be a rug that you would use on the floor. I was afraid to walk on it, as I was afraid I might trip over the pattern bumps and the fringe. I purchased 3 rugs. I love the other two, but this one had to go. I didn't even bother sending it back; it would have taken too much time and money, so I gave it up to the cleaning crew in our building. Hope they found how to use it. Very disappointed.

Smells like … well, a sheep

The rug is gorgeous, but it smells like a BARNYARD. I wanted a wool rug for our bathroom because I’ve heard they are more water repellant and stay warm even when wet, but as soon as I unrolled this rug, it smelled like a wet animal. It’s a musty, sour wet fur smell that is particularly rank. I know, it is literally wool from an animal, but the smell will not come out and it is so powerful that it smells up my entire bedroom and bathroom. Maybe I was naive for not knowing this is an aspect of wool rugs, I’m not sure if anyone has one that doesn’t smell. In any case, if you’re thinking about buying this one— unless you truly don’t mind it smelling awful, I would steer clear. It’s beautiful and high quality, but I cannot get past the smell. Even my nose/-blind husband noticed it. I’ve tried spraying it down with vinegar, essential oils, vacuuming with baking soda. I guess it’s back to the drawing board for a master bathroom rug.

Looks Good, Great Value

I was a 1st time buyer and was pleased with my purchase. The rug looks great, very functional and attractive. It lays well with the rug pad on a hardwood floor. I will be purchasing again for other rooms.
