A: Salton Cordless Hotray model TWT40 maximum temperature can reach slightly over 130°C or 266°F. The temperature cannot be adjusted.

A: Salton's Cordless Hotray model TWT40 can remain plugged in indefinitely. If the unit is left plugged in, the green 'ready light' will cycle on and off as the unit maintains the correct temperature.

This HOT tray is dangerous
This unit does not have an on/off switch. Once you've had it plugged in for 8 minutes, you're committed, and you cannot turn it off. Even unplugging it does not work, because of the built-in cordless function. It stays energized and really HOT for an hour. If you happen to have an accident or emergency, your only option is to very carefully carry it HOT outside to let it cool eventually.

I own two of these beauties. They are great for entertaining, but I tend to use them more on weekends for breakfast for my family. It keeps pancakes warm without drying them out (which I find tends to happen when using the warming drawer on my oven), so we can go back for seconds that are "just right!" in terms of temperature.

If you're into entertaining, this product is defiantly for you! I have both the Large and Medium Cordless Warming Tray from Salton (although I recommend just purchasing multiple of the large)! It has plenty of room to offer several dishes and stays warm for quite some time!
