I really like the light to clean scent of the product. I also really enjoyed the moisturizing effect. It doesn’t need a oily residue. The SPF protection is such a great bonus as I always wear SPF on my face and neck. The jar is a great size and fits on my shelf perfectly thank you philosophy for sharing this product.

After using the cream, the face looks well-groomed. It has a good skin lightening effect. It does not have a sticky effect like many moisturizers. It has a good composition. It is convenient to use in a jar. Good packaging. It is worth the money. It definitely needs to be simplified.

After using and loving Hope in a Jar for many years I was looking forward to trying this with the SPF! Unfortunately, it broke me out and I am unable to continue using it. I would still recommend for those who can tolerate it better than me!

I was NOT expecting this. I loved the original Hope In A Jar. Then when I couldn't find it anymore, around 2014, I stumbled upon the Renewed Hope in a Jar, and I had actual hope. I was not pleased with it. That turned me away from Philosophy for about 10 years. Then i saw this. When I finally had the motivation to look at Philosophy again and get that beloved Hope In A Jar, I looked for it and found what I believed was IT. I washed, toned and prepped my skin for a luxurious moisturizer, and then my face immediately started burning, especially around my nose. I was not expecting this and I was definitely not welcoming this. Once I inspected the jar, i realized it was Hope In A Jar--Smooth Glow. I don't know what that "smooth glow" is supposed to do, but it's definitely NOT smooth OR moisturizing.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This moisturizer does feel smoothing as the packaging says. It’s not heavy or greasy at all, and it doesn’t have a strong smell. Currently it’s not quite hydrating enough for my very dry skin, but I’ll probably use it more this summer, especially on vacation in more humid places. It works well with other hydrating products though, which is nice. I like the lightweight feel and the fact that it has glycolic and hyaluronic acid.

Dries comfortably. I don't see anything noticeable in my skin like wrinkle control or anything (yet) but my face is incredibly soft and I have way less breakouts. So to me that's a win! I will purchase more!

My skin looks fresh, not greasy. There’s a bit of stickiness after applying, but it fades pretty quickly. The formula has good ingredients like glycolic acid, so it does a bit more than just hydrate.
