first kettle I had ever owned and by golly, it does exactly what it says it’s going to do!

Omg i love this cute sleek looking thing. I have glass black hamilton beach that i’ve been using for more than 3-4 yrs and it still works but it seems like chlorine built up so i wanted to get rid of it and get new one. This white hamilton doesn’t seems like the chlorine gon built up cuz the rim is glass whereas black one has black plastic. So yeah exactly what i was looking for and it’s sleek and clean looking. Boils water fast as usual. Hamilton beach kettle never disappoints.

I ordered twice already the first time they sent a wrong item a coffee maker then the the second time it arrived shattered it’s rediculous

This kettle is really nice looking and boils fast. A great, affordable purchase!

The lid doesn’t stay shut when pouring water. You have to use your hand to hold the top of the lid shut which isn’t helpful because the lid gets extremely hot. Buyer beware, someone could seriously burn themselves if they don’t hold the top of the lid while pouring. I’ve used other kettles before and the lid stays put.

One of the downfall of this product is that the cord is not long enough. The other is that it doesn’t hold a lot of water. The pretty blue color that it has while the water is boiling is a nice touch!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This kettle is so easy to use. It has a place to store the cord and a top that locks open for filling. It turns on with one press of a button. I really wanted to see what the color looked like to see if it was a pretty as the box showed and it was! The color is beautiful and it is memorizing to watch. The water came to a full rolling boil within 8 minutes and then automatically shuts itself off.

It looks so pretty on my counter top. Love that it’s glass and it does what it’s supposed to, heat water up fast. I love that the top is a push top, it makes it easy to open when I need to fill it with more water. It’s perfect for making tea, hot cocoa, instant coffee, oatmeal, soup, instant Mac and cheese or cups of ramen, or anything where you need hot water.

It is so nice to have something so useful, and heats water quickly that looks attractive on the countertop. My grandkids like watching the water as it starts to heat and bubble. I like using it to heat water for hot cereals, no need for the microwave.

The cord stores in the base, so you don’t have to worry about it, and it’s very easy to clean. The base is a little too lightweight, when the cord is first unwound the base won’t lay flat.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This kettle has a pleasing aesthetic to it with a very sleek design. It lights up when it's on, and the water is beautiful blue. It is fun to watch as it boils as bubbles appear as if they are glowing. However, when it is off the water has a slight yellow tinge to it. This is likely an optical illusion from the glass having a yellow coating, which makes the water appear very blue when the light is on. The kettle has a good safety feature -- when it turns off, the blue light shuts off too. It is user-friendly; fill it with the desired water and push the lever down to turn it on. It automatically shuts off once the water boils. There are three measuring level lines on the kettle, so you can ensure you are putting in the correct amount of water, which is excellent because standard metal kettles need to tell you how full they are. Two things I don't like as much. When it sits on its base it is slightly wobbly. I have had other Hamilton Beach kettles, which had never been an issue. Also, you must be very careful when pouring water after it has boiled because it tends to spill quite easily. I recommend running it into your cup while holding it over the sink. The kettle is easy to clean - I hand wash it with mild dish soap.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was so excited to get this product, as my spouse and I are major tea drinkers. However, I have to say that overall I am a bit disappointed. I love how quickly the water boils while the kettle itself remains relatively cool. It's easy to use, with an automatic turn off switch when you pick up the kettle. The blue lights showing that the kettle is heating is a nice decorative touch as well. My biggest issue is that it has a tendency to spill when pouring the boiling water - not a good thing! I wonder if I missed something in the directions, or if there's a way the kettle can be engineered to reduce spillage, like adding an O-ring at the top. But, I won't stop using the kettle - it's just too darn convenient! I just have to be careful when pouring the hot water out.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We received the product about 2 weeks ago. It has been used almost everyday starting with heating the water 1st thing in the morning. It is turned on so that we have hot water to pre-warm our coffee and tea cups. We also use the hot water through out the day as we drink a lot of warm water. The unit heats the water to the boiling point in about 5 minutes. Temperture is about 212 degrees, 5 minutes later the temp is 186. After 30 minutes the temp is 140. It takes about 2 minutes to re-heat to the boiling point. It also has a very pleasant blue color when turned one and boiling the water. It shuts off after the water comes to a boil so there is no worry about a chance of its breaking.

It takes less than 5 minutes to boil with 1.7 liter capacity and 1500 watts and auto shutoff, It's great for hot coffee and tea.You will no longer need to wait over 5 minutes to make a cup of coffee or tea. It's very easy to use, basically plug and wait for it to heat. It doesn't take long to boil the water. I use it to heat up water for my tea every morning and haven't had any worries vs if I used one that needs the stove.

The cord should be at least six feet long. I would also prefer that there are standard measurements on the front such as cups of water not just the metric measurements.
