Q: can you put the containers in the freezer?

A: Hello! Yes you can put these containers in the freezer. They always need to cool down to or heat up to room temperature before hand. They should not go straight from the microwave to the freezer or the freezer to the microwave.

Brand new out the box and the kids had black marks on them. The glass also had some scratching. I washed them but the marks didn’t come out the lids. I am disappointed with lack of quality control. Also, these are much heavier than my other glass storage containers. Going back.

These are standard Pyrex and I appreciate being able to bake and freeze in the same pan. I make a larger batch of recipes like lasagna or enchiladas and then freeze in this container. Be mindful of temperature shock (no sudden hot/cold especially liquid) and these last ages. Not sure why the listing doesn’t say so, but these are oven-safe (minus the kids of course).

I purchased these to replace plastic containers. I liked them initially because they’re good size and have done well in the dishwasher. I haven’t tried them in the oven or freezer. Tonight, I put leftover broccoli in one. A few minutes later, it shattered. Glass EVERYWHERE! Now I’m scared to put leftovers in the others, even lukewarm. How are these oven safe yet can’t handle warm broccoli?!

good for dry/solid food prep, NOT storage of soups, anything liquid. surely wouldn’t want to send home leftovers with a guest with this! my soup didn’t make it into the freezer without covering half of the kitchen floor. love the color, not the product.

We have three children so when we cook, we usually have enough leftovers for the following day and these are perfect for that purpose or to store fruits or vegetables we buy in big bulks like strawberries, celery and grapes (one container can almost fit 8lb of grapes). My set did come with some black stains on the lids and initially wouldn’t come off with just water and dish soap but then I tried a Clorox wipe and that did the trick.
