Q: Don't I need to have a SafeLink SIM card? Where can I obtain one?

  • A: Any airtime card or plan you purchase works only with the service you are subscribed to, so you need to have SafeLink service to use a SafeLink card, T-Mobile service to use a T-Mobile card, etc.

  • A: Generally speaking, if you have SafeLink service from California, but are not presently in California, you would fall under the "roaming" rules, so you would just be adding to your California service.

    Safelink Airtime Plans

    I am especially reviewing my purchase after reading many negative reviews. I want to say that I appreciate the reviews of others who were satisfied with the purchase of a Safelink airtime card. Despite many negative review, I chose to take a chance based on some positive reviews. I want to report that ALL WENT WELL! This is the quickest, easiest, and most cost effective way to add time and data to your SAFELINK phone. I want to thank Target for making the Safelink airtime plans available. I most definitely will be returning to Target.com! Absolutely NO COMPLAINTS.

    It didn’t work. It said I wasn’t a SafeLink customer and well that is incorrect. I am or I wouldn’t have purchased the card.

    SafeLink is not Tracfone

    I see a ton of bad reviews. My code came about 30 minutes after purchase. I want to explain why this card may not work for you. The number one reason it may not work is because you are using a Tracfone. Also, if you have an issue with your SafeLink account, you will not be able to add it. For me, it was actually helpful because my account was not set up properly. When I could not use the card, it was because they never linked it to SafeLink and it started out as Tracfone. This was a quick phone call fix. Then I was able to enter the code online, via the link they provide you with. So basically, you just have SafeLink Lifeline service for this card. Tracfone does not offer this deal. But, there are other offers for Tracfone available on target.com. Follow the links provided, after you redeem the card via email, and you should not have any issues.

    Very Disappointed

    All these other reviews sounds great, but I ordered this, it took forever to get in my email,then after I put in the pass code and everything it never went on my phone. I waited 2days& it still never went on, I had to call SafeLink and they had to manually put the minutes on my phone. Very disappointed.
