I dont understand the price point
My 4yo is very into dinosaurs. He was gifted some from his aunt as part of his bday gift a couple of years ago. They were the ones found in the front section of Target, as I recall these dinosaurs were between $3-$5. These past few weeks I thought it was time to get him some dinosaurs to gift them for Christmas. I was utterly surprised by how these Schleich dinosaurs arrived in their shipping box. I have a few issues. 1. These dinosaurs were not any bigger than the ones he already has ($3-$5 ones). Mind you, the Schleich dinosaurs are anywhere between $12-15. They are practically the same size, feel similar in material and weight so I’m having a hard time understanding why they are priced so high. I would expect to be much bigger 2. The dinosaurs literally came in plastic bags. Considering their price point I would expect them to come in some sort of packaging that would be presentable enough to be gifted to a child. 3. I would argue that the quality of the target $3-$5 are superior. They do weigh a bit more than the Schleich and the Schleich struggle to stand on their own so you do have to maneuver their legs bc if not they will topple over. One very good thing that I will point out about the Schleich dinosaurs is that their mouths do open and close. Overall, my issue is that they are overpriced but if they will be priced at that point Schleich needs to improve their packaging and perhaps make them a bit bigger.
