    Brush roller sucks brush not stiff enough

    Brush, roller socks, barely picks up, fluffy dog hair off of carpet. It will go over the fluffy dog hair, three or four times and it will still be on the carpet. Vacuum is great app is great. Roller and suction sucks.They need to improve on the stiffness of the brush and suction

    not compatible with google home assistant

    Never worked

    Had this for less than 6 months and got the same error every.single.time. Unfortunately, I didn’t open it for a year due to building a house and by the time I was fed up, it’s out of warranty. I called and they told me it’s an error they can’t fix and since I’m out of warranty there’s nothing that can be done. Absolute waste of $300.

    Very unhappy

    Very unhappy with my Matrix. Even with max suction it doesn't pick up a small bit of cat hair let alone get down deep into the carpet. The brush doesn't come past the vacuum body so not surprised that it doesn't pick up anything.

    Piece of junk

    The vacuum suction is actually pretty good. The problem is it won't actually vacuum. It gets stuck on the edge of stairs rather than turning around. It bumps until things and then freezes rather than banking up. The app takes forever to "find" and position the robot. I've tried for months to try and make this thing work decently and it just won't. Battery life is terrible too if you do get it running.

    It's a big help in a busy household!

    This is the second robot vac I've owned in 5 yrs. The last one was an iRobot model that couldn't keep up with my fast paced home. After about 1.5 yrs it took a dive down my steps-game over. I truthfully wasn't sure if I wanted to spend the money on another but working as much as I do and also keeping up with 3 teenage boys, 4 dogs and a long haired cat just wasn't feasible. This seems to be well made and has the added perk of self emptying, a feature my prev robo vac did not have. It does do a good job and covers quite a bit of floor (living room, kitchen & hallway) with a full battery. I did deduct a star bc I didn't realize the height of the robot was too tall to go under my couch and loveseat! What a bummer bc the underside of my furniture is visible when going up the stairs. That being said it isn't a big enough deal for me to return the item... I'll just sweep under the furniture first. This has, without a doubt, helped keep up with every day traffic dirt.

    Great for double-coat dog!

    Replaced old robot of another vendor and have been using for several weeks on hardwood floors and area rugs. Really like the option of “matrix” cleaning when I want an area cleaned twice. However, regular cleaning mode and normal (vs max) suction level clean well particularly given my double-coat dog. It’s nice to have these options.

    Need more time!

    The jury is still out. My old shark robot has two brush feet and seemed to pick up more stuff! From emptying, it doesn’t appear that this robot is picking up hair.

    Focus on tech, not enough focus on functionality

    I bought a shark years ago when they came out, worked great, easy to troubleshoot and very long lasting. This version has been nothing but issues. Sub par suction, doesn’t detect dirt well, and now currently will not charge, I have had this less than a year and do not have carpet. I also have this set up in a space of about 700 square feet so the bar is pretty low. I would not recommend this product at all and next time will be buying something else.

    AWFUL EXPERIENCE.

    I bought to add to the Shark I currently have as it is several years old and wasn't working well. I have tried for 3 days and nights to get this vacuum set-up without success. Websites don't exist. Instructions for setup aren't complete and run too fast. I've tried multiple websites without success. Wish Shark would make a vacuum that doesn't need a smart phone to set up. BTW I even replaced my cell phone with a new model and still have had NO SUCCESS and can't find where to go to get help.

    Awful App Limits Usefullness

    The app is horrendous. I was warned about this before buying it, but figured it couldn’t be that bad and I didn’t need a fancy app anyway. The app constantly logs you out and forces you to sign in when you’d like to have the robot clean. It also will disconnect the robot very frequently so you will have to go through repairing the robot and remapping the house which is very inconvenient when you’re needing the robot to clean but have to waste time on this process. Without the app, the robot wonders aimlessly rather than moving from room to room if you tell it to vacuum by just pushing the buttons. The constant repairing process interferes with convenience and it’s often far more practical to just sweep the house. The robot vacuums decently when the app isn’t screwing up, but most of my home is hard floor. It barely cleans over carpet and doesn’t do well around the edges of the home, so I typically will have to sweep around the edges anyway.

    Why does it climb everything?!

    So sad. I am so upset with this purchase, the sensors are not working properly I am assuming because it tries to climb everything, inlcuding fans, it eats all the cords even though they are properly bundled & out of the way, it is even eating shoes. What is happening?

    Robot works great app crashes even after 2 updates

    When I first got it the app worked great. The unit does a good job however when it completes it’s cycle and I hit review report the app locks up and the. I have to restart the app. Please fix this. I am using an iPhone 14+ on version 18.6.2

    Maybe a lemon?

    I loved this for the first couple of months but now will not dock properly and keeps giving me error messages. It also doesn’t get baseboards and corners. I am returning it. Just bought a new full size Shark.

    I absolutely love my Shark Matrix Self-Empty! The self-emptying feature saves me so much time, and it actually cleans every corner of my house. It picks up pet hair, crumbs, and dust with no problem, and switching between carpets and hard floors is seamless. I also love being able to control it from my phone. Super easy, super convenient—best vacuum I’ve ever owned!

    Useless on Carpet

    I’m sure it’s great if you don’t have carpet. It is useless for carpet.
