Not Durable, Day one failure!
On day one it will not pop back into the flat position. Difficult to use comfortably, or easily, in one finger or two finger mode (I do not have chubby fingers!). Difficult to find proper position to lock it for using it as a kickstand, impossible if in a dark environment. The magnets are strong, which is the only positive point I see in this grip.

Quite disappointed in the Snap Grip 5
I really dislike the 5th gen compared to the 4. For some reason, the 5 won’t “lock” onto the MagSafe charger as confidently as the 4. I have the 4 on my iPhone 16 pro max and I have a 5 on my work iPhone 15. The 15 is always falling off the MagSafe charger on my dashboard while the heavier 16 PM stays where it’s out. I also have to hunt to find the proper attach, ent to the mafpgsafe ring. Very disappointed by the 5.

didnt last 48 hours
I loved how thin and strong the magnetic was with the burga cases for android but literally 2nd day using it won't snap closed "the phone grip that doesn't suck" does in fact suck. a waste of 40 dollars

Finally no adhesive ...but
Have been using OhSnaps since the old rubber band days and this grip is very good. Slim, magnetic on both sides. The grip is less snappier than the last iteration and takes more to have it sit down. Also am not a fan of the soft coating. Started peeling off and leaving flakes everywhere. Ended up rubbing it all off and it is actually better. Maybe drop it for the next iteration.

Garbage product
They literally took a piece of junk and packaged it like it’s worth 40 bucks, and I was dumb enough to fall for it. The magnet is not strong and the finger grip feels less secure and lower quality than a ring pop.

This is my third purchase because I like it
I've been using OhSnap grips for a few years now and I have enjoyed the leveling up they've done from plastic styles to a metallic look. I got one of my first grips for free from a person I toured in Los Angeles and then I needed to buy another after I switched to a new phone some years later. Also the plastic on the inside of the grip is light, it is surprisingly durable and I want to try the newest one with the stand. My boyfriend gets a lot of tech products since he is a content creator and I still go out and buy this product because it is worth it to me.

Not worth the price point. The finger loop if overused seems like it would break . And I had high hopes especially with being able to leave the grip on the back of my phone while charging on wireless charges it does not work.

I miss the old ones
I got a new phone so I bought another oh snap and after about 6 months of use, I have to say, I am not a fan of the new design. I thought having magnets instead of stick on would be great, but it is actually pretty annoying. Every time I drop my phone it flys off and now several of the little magnets have popped off so it falls off even easier. The part you pop out is also so much harder to pop out one handed than the old ones were. So I either end up not bothering to use it, which makes it more likely that I drop my phone or I have to use both hands. The wireless charging also doesn’t work very well when the snap is attached. Really bummed because I loved the old design and I thought I would like the updated version even more, but alas it was not for me.

Excellent Grip
I love how low profile it is. Had it for about a week so far and I really like the form and the function. Only concern is how long it will last as the hinges are very thin. Which is also a plus.

Awkard design. Stick with pop sockets
I needed a new phone stand because my magnetic pop socket broke. I gave this a try. I found it awkward to use. I don't like how you have to push down on the side for it to pop out and the part you hold your fingers on is not comfortable for even a short amount of time. I ended up returning and buying a pop socket.

Magnet Too Weak to Hold Phone on Metal Surfaces
As a long-time OhSnap user, I’m really disappointed with this new version. My previous grip worked flawlessly until it broke, and I had no issues at all with magnet strength using the same phone and case setup I have now. With the Snap Grip 5, my phone slides down metal surfaces instead of holding firmly in place like it used to. The difference is very noticeable and frustrating, especially since nothing else in my setup has changed. It’s also worth noting that I’m not alone in this. Many other longtime users have reported that the external magnet feels weaker on this version.I expected an upgrade, but this feels like a step backward. Do better, OhSnap.

Doesn't fit fingers slow charging
Not worth the buy, charging is slow through the ring, really inconvenient build for people with larger hands

Poor design
i’m very unhappy with my MagSafe phone grip. It doesn’t shut all the way after being opened to use as a grip. My phone fell about one foot from the ground and the outer plastic cover broke off and now it has a sharp edge. I think this is a total waste of money. I’m gonna go back to using a pop socket.

Newest edition is a downgrade :(
I’ve been using the ohsnap for a few years going back to the 3 and 4. I think the latest iteration is quite honestly a downgrade. I personally liked the old one adhered with adhesive. It was easy to move from case to case and had a super secure connection. Additionally, the magnet on the newest edition is weak sauce. I can’t get it to securely connect to a MagSafe device anymore. The old one would snap so hard on to MagSafe device I’d say “ohsnap” 😉. But honest feedback, revert the changes Ohsnap team! And Ohsnap will, again be a 5 star phone grip ❤️

Miss adhesive
Love the grip itself. But I have to take the new one off in order to use mag car mounts. Or adjust to find the sweet spot so it doesn’t fall off. The adhesive version never gave me that issue. It stuck to other magnets and metal PERFECT. And I now see I can’t choose to buy the adhesive one either. Kind of a bummer.

This thing works!
So Ive had a Snap grip through a number of different iterations and they've come a long way. But the real defining moment for me happened at work a few years back. I work in high angle construction building high ropes courses and we work with a lot of heavy machinery. One day at work during lunch I was sitting on the bucket of a piece of machinery and I magneted my phone on the side of the machine while I ate. Lunch time comes to an end and I just up and go about my work having forgot about the phone. Its not until the end of the day that I check my pockets and realize I had left it stuck to the side of the machine! In the meantime, the machine has also been going about its work day digging, grading, loading dirt, etc. After a few hours, the machine got loaded onto a flat bed truck and returned to the rental company. Upon realizing my mistake, I thought my phone was toast! But my boss was nice enough to drive to the rental place the next day and check. Mind you we were working in prescott AZ and the rental company was in Scottsdale, hours away. But lo and behold when my boss showed up at the rental place, there was my phone still suck to the side of the loader, albeit dirty, but otherwise unscathed! It stayed attached for 3 hours of heavy work, then stayed on the truck for 5 miles of dirt road and another 100 or so miles of freeway travel. So yeah, I'd definitely say that the Snap's magnet system is a 10/10.

I would not buy again
This product was really appealing because of how thin it is, but I can't get the wireless charging to work and it never settles back into place properly when it does. The slightest movement makes it extend again so it's never flat.

Works great
The grip is a lot more sturdy that it looks from pictures. Feels like it is well built and very well designed. Does exactly as it says!
