Waste of money
The monitor stopped playing sound after 3 months of use. The app sucks and has constant issues with video replay. I would not purchase again.

True disappointment
This monitor is a total disaster, I bought this for my 2nd baby and within first 2 months, it started showing problems. First it was battery, which degarded real fast and then it would need contant power source, A major red flag. Then connetion would keep getting lost and in the end screen stopped working, all within 4-5 months of operating. I had bought motorola for my first kid and guess what it is working even after 5 years and I am back to using old one because vTech is unusable now. I wish I had seen the other reviews before buying this, huge disappointment.

Often has issues
This camera/monitor was great for maybe half a year. Connection started off great, sound & camera itself was good at first. Then it kept disconnecting even though the WiFi showed it was just fine. Had to keep reconnecting often & sometimes I wouldn’t get notifications or couldn’t view the footage at all! A couple months ago the “connection” seemed fine again, but the night vision cam kept glitching & flashes black and white which constantly sets off notifications & the screen goes black making it impossible to see. So I toggled off auto-night-vision and of course it’s too dark and grainy to see into my baby’s room meaning she moves around or people can go in and out the room & it won’t detect it at all. I have dealt with constantly reconnecting, cleaning the camera lens, moving items out of few that could have triggered the glitch (it wasn’t that), etc. Just frustrating. I bought the 2 year warranty so I will try one more time in hopes that the next one does better. Hopefully they send me one since there is no fault on my end.

Dont waste your money
We’ve had this camera for a little over a year, and the battery performance has significantly declined. Despite being left to charge overnight, it now shows only one battery bar the moment it’s unplugged. This is extremely disappointing for a product that was expected to last much longer.

Produst stops working after 3 months
I’ve bought two of these, my first one lasted almost a year and stopped working out of nowhere but I liked it while it worked so I purchased a second one, three months later it won’t hold a charge and died, charger isn’t working at all now. Invest in something else this will it last

Not happy with this new version
I’m not sure why Vtech made the changes they did to this monitor, but they lost us as a customer because of it. We have used Vtech for years and have had other issues with their cameras before, but they were always due to a fault in the camera that the company resolved for us via the manufacturer warranty. However, this camera would not even work as intended right out of the box. When we returned within a couple days and replaced with a different one of the same version, the replacement camera had the exact same issues. Both monitors we purchased connected to the parent unit just fine. However, having our monitors connect to wifi to be able to view remotely is an absolute must for us. This camera would not do that despite being part of the WiFi series. Here’s how it went for us: First off, they made a completely different app for this version of the monitor, which would have made us view our two cameras in separate apps instead of viewing them both simultaneously. Second, this monitor does not connect to WiFi via the parent unit like before, but instead via the new app, which was unsuccessful for both monitors we attempted to connect. The app states if multiple WiFi connection attempts are made with no success, try another WiFi… um… we don’t have another one. And I’m not sure how many average family households would? And lastly, both of the cameras made an awful high pitch electronic hum when in night mode that would have given me a headache if I was my son sleeping underneath it all night. We had to turn his noise on high just to try drown it out. Overall, if you don’t require WiFi connection and don’t need to use the app, this would be fine for you. But we are immensely unhappy with this new version and the WiFi struggle we went through just to get our money back in the end. This situation on top of the previous issues we’ve had with this brand of baby monitor have made us part ways with Vtech.

No night vision anymore
I bought this monitor Nov 12th 2024…. It is a little over a month later and it has stopped working. The night vision feature has stopped and is just a black screen. It flashes every now and then but just doesn’t show anything. I also have tried everything to get it to connect to the app on my phone and it just keeps saying can offline. Do not buy this.

I wanted to love it
I love the display of this camera and that it comes with the wall mount. I also love that it records or keeps movement for safety reasons but that feature never works it always says unable to retrieve file. Or error. I’ve used it for 9 months and now randomly it went offline and I couldn’t reconnect it. If there was a way for them to fix these problems it would be great, I will not be repurchasing from vtech after this.

app doesnt work
This product has the potential to be great but sadly isn’t. I’ve had it for 6 months and the app almost never works, it always says the camera is offline. Luckily the monitor works but half the reason I bought this camera was for the phone feature, it’s nice not to have to lug around a monitor during naptime. I reached out to vtech about my issue and they exchanged mine for another one and it has the SAME issue. I used to think it was my wifi but I moved 2 months ago and still have the same issue with different wifi so I refuse to believe that’s the reasoning. Seeing all the negative reviews here made me feel not alone though. It sucks because the monitor has really cool features, if vtech could just figure out the few things that mess up they could have a really great product.
