Very clear camera with decent motion detection notifications
Thoroughly impressed - very clear recordings (both night and day, as well as live view) and prompt alerts for movement. Relatively easy install as well. Definitely recommend this if you're looking for a set and forget home security system. Whats more, there's no on going subscription necessary - unlike pretty much every other major brand. So whilst it might seem slightly more expensive upfront, it won't cost you anymore to run the system. Plus an SD card is already included for local recording storage, and you can always swap it out for larger capacity. The only drawback is the wifi connectivity. It takes a little bit of time setting up and optimising the connection (as it only runs on 2.4ghz wifi), especially since we have a mesh network where the bands can't be separated. Would have been helpful if there was an option to connect it to a base station which could be cabled via ethernet to the router or connected via 5ghz.

Nice WiFi camera, Rubbish security device
Apart from the fact that it only detects when someone is less than 2 metres away and moving (you can sneak in by taking 1 metre steps and waiting for a few seconds), SO IT IS USELESS AND NOT FIT FOR FUNCTION. The set up worked very well. I increased the detection sensitivity and it made little difference. Should just be renamed to nice WiFi camera.

Great unit, extremely happy but picks up vehicles 30 to 40 metres away but wont pick up people movement outside 2 metres.

Don't place behind a window!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I initially got this camera to place inside looking out my living room windows since I was living in apartments and unable to mount them outside. This worked great during the day, but unfortunately the infrared lights on them caused a massive glare at night and made the camera completely useless after dark and there was no settings to turn the IR lights off. Luckily the mount for the camera worked as a regular stand so I was able to set it on the window ledge. Other than the IR issue, this camera is amazing! So many great features are included and the color mode for nighttime i think works even better than the black and white! The solar power is a huge bonus since I don't have outdoor outlets and it works great even with several days of rain! I was also offered a 90 day free trial of their highest tier monthly subscription service for home surveillance. I did not opt to use it, but the offer was very generous and may be worthwhile to some! You can't go wrong with this camera, just make sure you don't place them behind a window! Lol

Solar Panel Works Even in in the PNW!
We have had this camera installed for a week, and so far it's been exactly what we needed. Being in Western Washington, getting enough sunlight for the solar panel was a concern, but so far it seems like even the small amount of UV rays have kept the camera powered up.

Potential to be excellent, let down by streaming problems.
I just bought two of these with solar panels. Simple to setup, but streaming is hit-and-miss. Sometimes they will stream, often the app says one of them is disconnected. Sometimes comes good when it detects movement, but not always. My opinion? The firmware and software are not good enough. Streaming needs to be available promptly and reliably. Both cameras (when not disconnected) report wifi signal strength at >85%. I am quite disappointed with this, as it has the potential to be a good product. Checking for updates indicates none available. Swann, if you're reading this, please fix your software.

Easy breezy set up!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is our first security camera but getting the app downloaded and the camera set up was really easy! I like that I get alerts to my phone when motion is detected and can review playback. The solar panel is not in direct sun but we haven’t had any issues with charging. The camera and solar panel are also under a porch so I am unable to speak to the durability of these yet. So far no issues to report and happy to have this added layer of security!

It's fantastic at its job
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This camera is fantastic. I expected it to be of a low quality but it surprised me greatly. I had it installed as soon as I got it and the next day it caught someone trying to enter my apartment. I haven't charged it for a week now and it hasn't died yet so it holds its charge very well. It survived a tornado that went through my town so it is durable in the weather.

Long battery life and excellent image quality!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Swann Xtreem4K Eco is a great little camera! I am very pleased with the video quality and the high pixel depth shows great detail. The motion detection is great with the ability to detect only people which cuts down on unwanted notifications. The battery life is more than adequate and the solar panel aided in extending it nicely. I used this primarily as a security cam in an office and it has performed very well.

Security camera with great quality and little inst
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This little camera is absolutely perfect for my apartment. The size alone makes it easy to sit in my window inconspicuously. The ease of installation and downloading the app was a breeze. Every little motion this camera senses and immediately notifies you of movement around the area of focus and this in itself gives you a strong sense of security. Watching the app you can see everything very clearly through the video. Using the solar panel I was able to get about a weeks worth of usage before recharging the battery.

Video quality is good during the day, night vision is usable but not super clear. The app is also easy to use, though the camera takes some time to load on occasion. Wireless camera with solar panel
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The camera feels really solid & well built and its got a much bigger battery inside than my old coreccamera. So far the battery has only dropped a few percent since I put it up. This new model seems to detect motion better as well, but early days so I'm still finetuning the settings. Free storage, 4K, no wires. What's not to love. Excellent image quality. I have other wifi cameras but this was quicker to set up/connect to the app, probably due to app updates. Be aware that not all 'Chinese' smartphones are able to download the Swann Security app.
