A: I just put the unit in next to my banana/frult holder. And in just three days about 35 fruit flies are stuck on the sticky refill and so is a moth and 2 winged bugs that usually hang around a porch lights as well as several mosquitoes. I was hesitant at first to spend that much for a pest control item not knowing how well it worked if at all. But the fruit flies were relentless and aggressive and followed me into my bedroom where they lay in wait until I fell asleep to fly into my mouth and up my nose. Well I wasn’t going to let them get away with it and so I took advantage of the 2-pack deal offered by them Target for my home and host/hostess gifts. With its ease of operation-just place it in an outlet near trash cans, fruit, dirty diaper dispensers, or sink drains as nd no more bugs trying to run you out of you home and no poisoning the air with pesticides and no concoctions to fill in or spill from a decoy apple. And it doubles as a nightlight too

A: It depends on the type of moth. Pantry moths are attracted to light and have been caught in Zevo Flying Insect Traps many times.

Bought two weeks ago have a pretty mild fruit fly problem out of the two traps I bought only got two flies and they are in problem areas. Would not buy

I truly dislike giving bad reviews, but it did not really work out of the hundreds of fruit flies only two or three stuck to the trap within two weeks so I don’t really know how to rate this product with this in consideration, thanks again

We’re disappointed to hear your trap isn't catching insects like we'd expect, Matthew. We've thoroughly tested our products to ensure they deliver the benefits we advertise, so this is not the experience we want you to have. We have a few helpful tips we’d love for you to try. When plugged into the outlet and a trap cartridge is inserted, the LED should glow blue. If not, then unplug the trap and check to see if it’s plugged into a ground fault outlet (one with the two buttons test/reset). If it is, make sure to hit reset, then plug the trap back in. Avoid placing the trap in spots where it’s hard for flying insects to access, like behind furniture, curtains, or other tucked-away spots. Many flying insects access homes near exterior doors, so if you have an outlet near one of those, it’s usually a good spot. Also, some people use traps in their garage or in a room (like a mud room) just inside their garage to catch bugs before they enter the house. To make the trap appealing to bugs, it’s best if it’s not placed near other lights at night. The blue and UV light attracts bugs to the trap, and they can get confused or distracted by several light sources. The trap can be effective in the daytime, but more natural daylight = more competition for the trap. We recommend placing the trap in a darkened room or at least a shadowy area. Have gnats and bought a double pack used for 2 weeks and only caught 5 gnats doesn't work more like a expensive night light

We have graduated from a couple singles to the new cylindrical plug-in unit. The plug allows the unit to be placed more easily as the unit is not confined to the space of an outlet. Nothing in trap after 1mo.
Tried these for pantry moths. Used over 1 month. Caught NOTHING. Will only catch insects that fly into trap and near the sticky pad. The light does nothing to attract them! These got rid of pantry moths https://a.co/d/8CQPt4Q ACVinegar works best for fruit fly. Add a tiny bit of over-ripe banana.

The traps work best when they’re in spots that are easily accessible to flying insects. Avoid placing in spots where it’s hard for flying insects to access, like behind furniture, curtains or other tucked-away spots. The trap can be effective in the daytime, but more natural daylight = more competition for the trap. They work on supermarket flies
My husband said “those won’t attract the flies we have, they’re not the right kind” It killed every last one of a terrible week long outbreak at our house from banana fruit flies. And I got to stop hearing him complain, so worth the money. If you’re not catching any, put them in the rooms with the drains/sinks, litter box and trash cans and turn out the lights. Wipe down your counters, clean your sink, put all food, vegetables and fruit away in the fridge. Be relentless about no food left out. They will come. They will die. You will laugh and evil well deserved laugh.

Doesn’t work! Save your money and make a few apple cider vinegar traps. I literally watched as fruit flies ignored this thing on my wall and swarmed the ACV. Save your money!!

Does NOT attract fruit flies despite the label
This has never caught fruit flies. Bananas right next to light (just like product picture) and the flies never go near the light. the trap has gnats and house flies, but fruit flies never go near this thing. Still have to use the apple cider to catch them.
