double 12 dominoes rules

A standard Double 12 set contains 91 tiles. Typical "professional" domino dimensions listed for many sets are about 1" × 2" × 3/8" thick.

You can play Double 6 or Double 9 games with a Double 12 set by removing the extra tiles that aren’t needed for the smaller set (i.e., omit tiles beyond the range used in the Double 6 or Double 9 game).

Listings commonly show play for 1–8 players (some list 2–8), and the typical recommended minimum age is 6 years and up.

Number-style dominoes use large, color-coded numerals instead of pips, making tiles quicker to read and count and easier to identify in lower light or for players with weaker eyesight.

Wipe the dominoes clean with a dry or lightly damp cloth as needed; avoid soaking and allow pieces to dry fully before storing.

Most Double 12 sets include eight train markers, while some deluxe editions list nine markers.
