By default, this model is locked to Region 1 (North America). This means it will play standard DVDs purchased in the U.S. and Canada, but it will not play discs from other regions (such as Region 2 for Europe or Region 4 for Australia) unless they are specifically labeled as "Region 0" or "All Region." A few alternatives if you have international discs: USB Port: You can play digital movie files (like MP4 or AVI) via the TV's USB input, which bypasses region coding.
